Five years after we designed this little light it is starting a new amazing adventure! It is now central to a 600k unit #carbon-offsetting programme. Accredited by the workd-leading, UN-backed @goldstandard. The first ever of its kind in beautiful #Zambia.

When it comes to #EnergyAccess, those in most need aren't being prioritized, despite rhetoric indicating otherwise. How the sector can "put serious money where its mouth is": bit.ly/2keZQsL @JohnAKeane @SolarAid @SunnyMoneyOrg #EnergyPoverty #SolarEnergy

Wow! So exciting to see how @SolarAid鈥檚 great initiative with @SunnyMoneyOrg is scaling solar light adoption through a #lightlibrary. Young learners can now take sunlight home with them after dark! 馃摎馃彍

Fascinating! The case for an economic ladder. Let鈥檚 meet real #needs before aspirational #wants.
90% of small #solar lamp owners bought an additional solar lighting product vs 38% of larger SHS customers. This could be because of affordability and/or products better meeting needs. New #energy #research in #Uganda: goo.gl/MzHkhz @UNCDFCleanStart

It was a pleasure meeting you @JeremyLeggett The view from the skyscraper gave me an idea of the future we are working towards for Africa's energy access. It was quite thought provoking, the SM100 in the backdrop of a dazzling city landscape

From the top of the Talkie Walkie in the City of London you see what light means to a city and its people. We can use #design to help people the world over meet their everyday needs too. @namenesolar @SolarAid @JeremyLeggett

Excited to see @HPE_Discover and @HPE use the low cost solar light we designed for @namenesolar as a test case for #advancedmanufacture using #robotics and smart #logistics. Very cool!

3/8 There are two benefits of designing CAD models using Edge computing: 1. many teams in several continents can collaborate remotely with same CAD models 2. protecting intellectual rights when sending part of the model to vendor
