if something really bad had happen between those two their PR teams would’ve MADE them interact anyway ESPECIALLY since they were right in the middle of releasing the final season. otherwise some of the attention would’ve shifted away from the show itself and (+)
to some extent that DID happen but the press tour helped keep the focus on the show EVEN THOUGH they were being kept apart or weren’t appearing together in interviews. like all u have to do is think about it for a sec. hope this helps
