Found this listed in a government surplus auction recently. No meaningful description, just that it had something to do with military simulations in the 1980s.
Located in Colorado Springs.

On the train yesterday, table of middle aged women next to me talking about AI. All ChatGPT, pronounced "chat GBT", no idea why lol
One of them was disappointed because she asked it to make a small crossword and it couldn't
I thought surely not. I use these models every day, they do things in minutes that'd take me hours. So I got the app out and asked for one myself
Every down clue is a copy of an across clue. "You ___ here" is apparently EST. The down answers are CET, ASE and TTN. Then it tells me its own puzzle isn't a proper crossword
No wonder people outside tech think it's a fad. The stuff that blows my mind at work they'll never see, and the first thing they try falls over

In this era of artificial intelligence, it is becoming urgent to distinguish human art from what machines produce. There is an ontological difference, even before an aesthetic one, between art and what a machine can generate through statistical calculation based on millions of images created by others. Algorithms lack the spark of humanity. For this reason, the Church wishes to renew an alliance with artists and cultural institutions to safeguard our humanity.

My biggest question will always be what the citizens of Nuremberg really saw that morning in 1561, when they reported blood-red, bluish and black spheres and ring-shaped discs near the Sun that began to fight among themselves.
Randomly watching a covid era video on YouTube is such a strange feeling now. Toilet paper jokes, being locked inside references, inability to see friends, etc.
What a strange thumbprint to stumble across
