I am not a "lockdown sceptic".
I am *certain* that violating the human rights of 67 million people in order to fail to protect us from a virus with a 99%+ survival rate is, by some distance, the most destructive, inhumane and murderous idea in British history.
Very sinister changes are happening in the UK, bit by bit, shifting power away from individual people to the state.
This creeping totalitarianism has been advancing for years, but it's accelerating rapidly now.
There are only two possible reasons why Nigel Farage refused to admit that the English exist.
Either he doesn't believe there's such a thing as English, distinct from British.
Or he's too cowardly to say so.
Either way, yet more evidence that Farage/Reform are not the answer.
People see this and think the government is helping.
What's actually happening is that the government deliberately gave us among the highest energy costs in the world and is now giving the big energy companies £900million of taxpayer's money.
That's not help. It's fraud.
"Government has spent decades relentlessly and deliberately infantilising, immiserating and impoverishing us with its every move and thought, but it'll be different with this new PM."
These idiots are everywhere.

Quite remarkable than anyone can write a long post about the UK's electricity generation per person without mentioning the fact that the government imported millions upon millions of people in recent years.
That, and the government killing coal, is why "per person" has fallen.
Electricity generation per person in the United Kingdom has fallen by a third from its early-2000s peak.
Globally, electricity generation per person has grown by more than 50% this century.
In the United Kingdom, things have moved in the opposite direction. Its generation per person peaked in 2003 and has fallen by more than a third since then.
You can see this in the chart, which shows generation per person since 1920. Today, levels are back to where they were in the late 1960s.
Some of that decline is a change in electricity imports, rather than demand: net imports have increased from 1% of electricity demand in 2010 to 9% in 2025. But it’s still true that the UK consumes much less electricity than it used to.
The most common explanation is deindustrialization: as the economy shifted from manufacturing to services, electricity demand fell. That’s part of the explanation, but far from all of it.
Sectoral data from the International Energy Agency confirms that electricity consumption in industry has fallen by one-quarter since 2005 (more if we calculate this per person). But residential and commercial electricity use has fallen by just as much.
Deindustrialization has reduced demand, but improvements in energy efficiency — such as the shift from incandescent to LED lightbulbs and the introduction of efficiency standards for appliances — have played an important role too.

Your occasional reminder that "Robin Hood stole from the rich to give to the poor" is Marxist revisionism.
Robin Hood stole from an out of control, high tax state and returned the money to the taxpayers.
England, where a man is in jail until next spring for vandalising a rubber dinghy but the perpetrators of what we were told was an attempted terrorist attack are walking free...
This isn't "incompetence", it's ideology.
You know who's terrible?
People that talk, shout and vote left wing but live a right wing life, with their marriage, 3 kids in private school, private healthcare and rural house away from the worst consequences of their left wing ideology. For now.
When they call us "far-right" they're not assigning us a position on the political spectrum.
They're attacking us and hoping to silence us purely because we don't hate our country, it's people and its history like they do.
They are driven by that hatred.
And they are racist.
<Logs on to Twitter to see what's officially "far-right" today>
People who own black labradors and go to the pub occasionally.

Just having a quiet chuckle at the thought of "refugees welcome" Remoaner types cheering about Burnham rejoining the EU so they can winter in the south of France, only to return and find that the council has filled their house with "refugees"...
No, the government is not trying to solve the housing crisis by ending property rights.
The government deliberately created the housing crisis, through rapid mass immigration, so they could use it as cover to advance hard-left totalitarianism, including ending property rights.
Nobody speculates faster than the "it's wrong to speculate" types when they hope "the Russians did it!!!"

Not a single person living in Jamaica suffered as a result of slavery.
Nor did their grandparents, great-grandparents or great-great-grandparents.
Meanwhile everyone in Britain was still paying off the loans used to free the slaves in 2015.
Jamaica should be paying us.

Scary thought.
The hordes of illegal immigrants breaking into the country are often referred to sarcastically as "more doctors and engineers".
What if they actually make some of them doctors and engineers, Jason Arday style 😬
