⭐ PLAYER SPOTLIGHT: John Williams
The next man up is already up. The 2025 seventh-round pick — a backup left tackle — stepped in at center in the first quarter at Detroit after Sean Rhyan (ankle) and Jacob Monk (quad) went down, then played the rest of the game in his NFL debut: 58 snaps, no sacks allowed, with LaFleur praising his command and communication.
The background explains the poise: a Cincinnati Bearcat (2020–24) who started 24 straight games at left tackle, and an aerospace engineering major who talked about working at Lockheed Martin or SpaceX someday. Smart enough for rocket science, steady enough for center on a short week.
Now he's in line to start at center Thursday vs Carolina.
How does he hold up in his first start? 👇

We need more like DDS.
The energy & juice with which he plays is infectious. And he’s bringing that as a rookie.
Just imagine when you pair that with Micah in a few weeks

I don't know if it will be with the Packers, but if Keisean Nixon keeps playing like this, he's going to get paid by someone this offseason.
He's having his best year as a Packer. He's been legitimately good lately.
