I'm so proud of all our candidates and continued hard work in their communities. Long may they continue to serve and grow from strength to strength 🇿🇦🤍✊🏾 @Rise_Mzansi
Much love and respect, we are rising!

Tonight, a mosque hosted a Shabbat against genocide. Jews, Muslims and people of different backgrounds standing together for Palestine and humanity. This is who we are in South Africa.

South Africans take for granted the privilege of being able to cast a vote without the threat of intimidation and violence. The ANC got a lot wrong but certainly got democracy right. For that I'm truly thankful.
Hillary Rodham did not take the Clinton name when they married.
She was strongly lobbied to become Hillary Clinton to make her husband’s presidential campaign easier.
This below is one of her best qualities.
Don’t be rude to me.
There is much to celebrate this week, but I want to call specific attention to historic gains Democratic women made in representation:
- For the first time in history, over 100 Democratic women will serve in the U.S. House.
- At least 16 Democratic women will serve in the Senate.
- At least 14 Democratic women will serve as governors, a record high.
- A record of 2,600 Democratic women running for seats in state legislatures helped flip 12 majorities and break 11 supermajorities.
- Four states elected their first woman governor: Georgia, Minnesota, Ohio, and Tennessee.
- @KeishaBottoms will be the first Black woman to serve as a governor.
- @DebHaalandNM will be the first Native American woman to serve as a governor.
- @GinaHinojosaTX will be the first Latina to serve as governor of Texas.
- @peggyflanagan will be the first Native American woman to serve in the Senate.
I am beyond excited to see these extraordinary people and public servants tackle accountability, affordability, and our other challenges to make life better for everyone in this country.
Congratulations to everyone who ran: win or lose, fighting for what's right is always worth it.
Ag nice man ❤️🇿🇦
So true!
Ugh 🥹♥️🇿🇦
I'm deeply proud of South Africa today. Our democracy has matured, and remains relatively stable having moving beyond a single-party liberation democracy into an era of multi-party democratic contestation. Many African countries failed to make that transition. Many said we wouldn’t.
To the future and beyond. We've got this. We really have. 🇿🇦
Let them talk us down. Let them say disaster awaits. Let them count us out. We know who we are and what we can do, and we will again and again.
I breathe a little easier this evening. Thank you all.

There are wild swings all over the place (against the ANC). I am getting results in faster than I can post. Strap yourselves in.
I MEAN Not to be rude but one would think that if you wanted your little racist white supremacist outfit to go global especially via America and its like minded lame president
🤯 that at LEAST ONE OF THEM WOULD BE LIKE HOT OR WELL DRESSED. All-round failures.

Go Piker! @hasanthehun
‼️‼️‼️ For the record to the seven people who have been reading my posts for years.
What is “vote wisely”?
So irritating. Arrogant. Condescending. You don’t tell people who to vote for in a country that only became an actual republic after democracy.
You do you.
Do you know what is corrupt?
Disenfranchising 95% of compatriots etc etc.
Replying to @BrentLindeque
Jussie, got a bit of flak from a few people in the comments. I chose not to reply to all the replies yesterday but today is a new day. Every reference and source is in the article. I can only write things. I can’t force anyone to actually read them. Happy voting day.
