Since last summer I've been investigating reports of widespread sexual abuse within a secretive Christian church known as The Truth. Last month I called an ex-minister accused of sexually abusing a boy for six years, and he agreed to talk. bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-cana…
My latest investigation into The Truth, a secretive Christian sect. I spoke to mothers in the US who say they were coerced by the church into giving up their babies for adoption. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c9d5…
Spoke to Lethal B about 20 years of Pow! - an anthem that became so notorious that clubs started banning it. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cdrd…

For me it is a year of nostalgia for a quiet morning starts with taking the kids to school, talking to my neighbors about last night’s football match walking on the beach… I waited a whole year and that beautiful morning never came . Yes, we are alive, but we are not well.

some of my favorite pics of @MechDara1 being himself: forever on a moto, eating something delicious, sticking his head out of windows, talking to anyone & everyone, & the time he tried to fix a car with a rock. journalism is not a crime. he is the best of the best. #FreeMechDara

Thanks @george_wright89 @lenleng_khmer and @BBCWorld for covering Mech Dara’s arrest & the growing threat to journalists for just doing their jobs in Cambodia bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cdje…
I often daydream about reporting trips with Dara - truly some of the best days of my life. He's one of a kind and I hope to see him free, back doing what he does best again soon. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cdje…
In a profile I did on Dara last year, he spoke about how he would push to be allowed out to report stories after being tasked with filing archives as a rookie: "I never quit asking, barking at people to take me out reporting. I asked hundreds of times" bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-64…

Mech Dara was arrested yesterday. Trips with him are filled with these looks over the shoulder before he charges ahead, itching to get the story. But more than his tenacity or courage, being a nice guy’s what makes him the best. He can talk to anyone, and they want to talk to him

Mech Dara, the most fearless journalist in Cambodia, was arrested today -- whereabouts unknown hours later. Absolute beast of a reporter who dug into corruption, human trafficking, etc. Also loved by all who have worked with him. Hope he's released soon. facebook.com/share/p/nqy4Npv…
The FBI has now launched an investigation into abuse within The Truth ministry. Ex-minister Robert Corfield told me he had "no reason" to be concerned despite admitting to sexually abusing a boy for years in the 1980s. bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-cana…
"If you are killed, if this does happen, what message do you leave behind to the Russian people?"
I spoke to the director of the Oscar-winning documentary, Navalny.
