Thank you for sharing your thoughts so openly and clearly!
I made a short video summarising your thread.
1) Trying again.
TLDR: Everyone can win. Open-source, frontier labs, infrastructure, applications and most importantly the American people.
I understand all of the jitters about Anthropic losing share, real rates, spreads and second derivatives. Still think the most likely future outcome is a hybrid, multi-model future where almost everyone wins, open-weight tokens are likely the overwhelming majority of tokens, the dominant frontier model companies still do well albeit perhaps not the outcome that seemed possible in May and AI infrastructure/applications benefit immensely from the increased fragmentation, competition and lower margins at the model layer.
Lower margins at the model layer mechanically drive higher compute demand as long as someone is willing to pay for the training. And Jensen is obviously willing to be the “trainer of last resort.” As below-market compute contracts signed in 24/25 roll-off and reprice higher, cloud and neocloud revenue should continue to accelerate which will help address financing fears; I think we may be near peak external financing for this buildout. Noteworthy that using data from 3Fourteen Research, B200 clusters will generate a 37% IRR *if* their rental price declines 40% per year. Prices are still going up, but that IRR math is too ridiculous to print. 37% IRRs available at scale should get funded.
Re: this weekends controversy about MOUs, Anthropic’s $413 billion of real contractual commitments sounds scary. Reality is that it works out to roughly $31 billion of annual cloud spend, which is easily internally financed given their reported ARR, and $161 billion of spend at Broadcom which will be financed by Broadcom and private credit.
Continue to believe fragmentation at the model layer is the best outcome for ordinary Americans and humans everywhere. As I have said before, do not trust any 5-20 individuals to make the best possible decisions about the direction of this technology. I want as many AIs as possible to maximize the odds that they encompass the diversity of human values across the world and richness of human variation. And I want an AI that shares my own personal values. Safety, freedom and the maximization of human agency through democratization, distribution and diffusion vs. centralization. History has spoken on the dangers of the latter path.
Finally, from my perspective anything that slows this buildout down is net positive over the long-term as the biggest risk and worst outcome is an *actual* overbuild. We are structurally short watts, wafers and increasingly capital. That is all good. God forbid we were still in ZIRP, TSM ramped capex to 3x their current plan and we weren’t short turbine blades: there would almost certainly be an overbuild and a bubble. That would be terrible. Slower and smoother for longer is better both for investors and for the world. A terrible cyber event is the most plausible near term bear case IMHO, but AI cyberdefense ramping quickly and I was happy to hear Sholto say that cyber probably becomes defense dominant in the near future.

Texts from friends this morning:
- "I won't be surprised if this goes viral because it's the most approachable content I've seen yet for people to get started with AI."
- "I finally have a place to point people to when they ask me 'How do I get started with AI?'"
- "By far the most useful how-to I’ve seen yet for people to get started with Cursor."
Most AI content is designed to induce FOMO and make you feel behind, not to actually teach you anything. Today's post is the opposite.
@talraviv and @amankhan spent 100+ hours building an interactive experience that teaches you the most essential AI concepts—from inside @cursor_ai itself.
I’ve never seen anything like this before and I’m excited to bring it to you.
If you've ever nodded along when someone says "context engineering" or "RAG" in a meeting—while hoping no one asks you to use them in a sentence—this post is for you.

I'm Boris and I created Claude Code. Lots of people have asked how I use Claude Code, so I wanted to show off my setup a bit.
My setup might be surprisingly vanilla! Claude Code works great out of the box, so I personally don't customize it much. There is no one correct way to use Claude Code: we intentionally build it in a way that you can use it, customize it, and hack it however you like. Each person on the Claude Code team uses it very differently.
So, here goes.

Something I wanted to see if Claude Opus 4.5 could do: clone a fully functional Billion $ SAAS product and make it at least 100x cheaper.
The first product that came to mind was TypeForm because it's very popular, very expensive, and in theory, very simple.
The result is OpenForm: a polished + functional and Open Source Typeform clone at ~100x less cost, that can be setup and deployed in ~15 minutes. The agent building this ran for ~35 minutes.
Here are the details, technique, and the code:
after my first day of using 3 Super Agents I am quietly impressed
I'll continue testing and using them but I can feel the step change from before!
Great work by the ClickUp team!
Today we’re launching the first and only human-like AI agents in the world.
Super Agents™ are the first agents with human‑level skills – they DM you, take @ mentions, send emails, manage docs, tasks, and more. Not just tools or API calls, but real skills fine‑tuned for how teams actually work.
The first agents with 100% context – fully native in @clickup and fully synced from other apps. Super Agents see your work the same way that humans do: tasks, docs, schedules, and conversations all in one place.
The first agents that learn from human interactions automatically, without any setup or configuration – when you give feedback, they listen and improve how they work.
The first agents with human‑level memory for custom agents – historical memory for every interaction, short-term working memory, and even long‑term memory stored in docs you can literally open, inspect, and edit.
The first agents that are literally the same as users – our agentic user model is the same as our user data model. This gives you permissions and capabilities that you and your systems are already familiar with.
The first infinite agent catalog – where anyone can create and customize agents in minutes, for literally any type of work imaginable. It's the most intuitive way to build agents on the planet.
95% of companies are failing in AI adoption. The reality is that AI isn't meant to be adopted, it's meant to be adapted – to you.
Super Agents are automatically personalized to you and your company using proprietary state-of-the-art agent architecture, orchestration, and tooling.
Today is the largest step forward we've ever made towards our mission of making people more productive.
Maximize human productivity, with ClickUp Super Agents.
Available NOW. For everyone.

Had my first successful experience using a browser agent to solve a real problem - in this case I had the Claude in Chrome extension help me find some configuration I had lost deep within the Cloudflare control panel simonwillison.net/2025/Dec/2…

My magic mushroom longevity experiment found a metabolic reset button in the brain. We expected brain changes, but not a potential metabolic breakthrough.
The discovery: my blood glucose control dramatically improved.
+ before: top 2% of population
+ after: top 0.2% of population
+ better than 99.75% of 18-25 yr olds
+ mean glucose dropped 8%
+ time above 125 mg/dL: zero min
+ variability dropped 11%
This single session reduced my estimated HbA1c by 6.8% from 4.7% to 4.4%.
Why does this matter? We treat diabetes and metabolic dysfunction with chronic daily medication (Metformin, Insulin, GLP-1s). This data suggests that a neuroplastic event might have downstream effects on the liver and pancreas that mimic or exceed these drugs.
For context, taking Metformin daily takes 6 months to drop it 10-15%.
This is a first in-human observation, with comparable pre-clinical evidence existing only in rodents.

We noticed a worrisome quirk in Zipline’s data. We’ve been setting all-time highs week after week: delivering record amounts of animal health, blood, medicines, and vaccines....Except one critical use case that’s been shrinking. 1/n
