The School of Pharmacy traded lecture halls for an evening of elegance as the Kampala International University Pharmacy Students’ Association @KIUPSAofficial hosted its 2026 Dinner and Awards Night on October 24th at Western Meridian Hotel, Bushenyi.
Held under the theme “A Dispensation of Glamour,” the event brought together students, staff and alumni to honour the association’s achievements, recognize individual contributions and foster a stronger sense of community.
A highlight of the evening was the recognition of individuals whose achievements and contributions to KIUPSA stood out.
The occasion was graced by @MugideNuru, Vice President of the Pharmaceutical Society of Uganda @PharmacistsUg , as Chief Guest.
Beyond the awards, the dinner provided a platform for networking and reconnecting, strengthening relationships across the pharmacy community.

Doctors will fight pharmacists.
Doctors will fight nurses.
Doctors will fight radiographers.
Doctors will fight physiotherapists.
Doctors will fight scientists.
Doctors will fight chemists.
Doctors will fight nutritionists.
Doctors will fight anatomists.
Doctors will fight even porters.
A small-minded, ego-driven, and problematic profession.
And mind you, none of these professions is interested in taking over their roles. Yet, you'll find doctors everywhere trying to take over other professions' roles and suppress their growth.
And then you wonder why healthcare is suffering in Nigeria.
