🎉 We are excited to announce the awardees of the NeuroUX Pilot Grant Program for EMA Research! Congratulations to Sarah Berretta and Antoine Khati. We are excited to support their innovative research using the NeuroUX Ecological Momentary Assessment (EMA) Platform. 🔬 Sarah Berretta is a PhD student in Psychology at the University of Texas at Dallas, where she studies the social and cognitive processes associated with psychosis. When she's not in the lab, she's busy keeping up with her cat Bean, dog Miles, and turtle Jeff. Her NeuroUX pilot study will conduct an ecological assessment of hostile attribution bias (HAB) to better understand how people interpret real-world social interactions. 🔬 Antoine Khati, MD, MS, is an MD/PhD student at the University of Connecticut whose research focuses on digital health monitoring, EMA, wearable data, and predictive modeling. Outside of research, you'll likely find him at the gym, making a breakfast large enough to need its own IRB protocol, or overthinking a single sentence in an email. His NeuroUX pilot study will examine breast cancer-related lymphedema (BCRL) using EMA to better understand how symptoms, treatment adherence, emotional distress, and daily challenges change over time. Congratulations, Sarah and Tony! We look forward to working with you and supporting your research.

Sleep apnea often goes undiagnosed. This article looks at how wearables like the Apple Watch can pick up on subtle signs of sleep trouble, and help prompt that important conversation with a doctor. But it also raises important questions: How reliable are these alerts? And what happens when consumer health insights outpace clinical pathways? sleepreviewmag.com/sleep-dia…

NeuroUX Psychomotor Vigilance Test (PVT) The Psychomotor Vigilance Test (PVT) is a widely used cognitive test designed to assess sustained attention and reaction time. It is the de-facto gold standard for objectively assessing behavioral alertness and very sensitive to sleep loss and circadian misalignment. Available Versions: ▪️ Standard PVT (10 minutes): Provides comprehensive data on sustained attention and reaction times. Ideal for in-depth studies. ▪️ Brief PVT (3 minutes): Enables rapid assessments while retaining the critical features necessary for meaningful insights, balancing efficiency and precision. Why choose NeuroUX PVT? ✅ Browser-based and cross-platform. No apps, no installations. ✅ Seamless deployment for remote, in-clinic, and decentralized studies. ✅ Designed for simplicity, ensuring participants can complete the test easily without additional guidance.

Coming Soon: An adaptive version of the PVT is also in development, dynamically adjusting task length based on participant performance to further optimize sensitivity and minimize burden. If you're interested in incorporating the PVT into your research or clinical trial, reach out to us at [email protected].
