Listen to this incredible sound of a black hole!
ARCHIVED NASA Exoplanets (@NASAExoplanets) profile pictureARCHIVED NASA Exoplanets

The misconception that there is no sound in space originates because most space is a ~vacuum, providing no way for sound waves to travel. A galaxy cluster has so much gas that we've picked up actual sound. Here it's amplified, and mixed with other data, to hear a black hole!

NASA Data Sonification: Black Hole Remix

In this sonification of Perseus, the sound waves astronomers previously identified were extracted and made audible for the first time. The sound waves were extracted outward from the center.

Yes, the 'liberal' media I usually love so much has gone fake news mad by reporting a massive, $21 billion LOSS as a huge profit deserving of a windfall tax. PLEASE stick to the facts and stop trying to whip us into a tax-grabbing frenzy!

Replying to @BBCSimonJack
And some people wonder if the BBC is biased ?? Choose a statistic which serves your purpose rather than informs accurately. You might mention that Shell LOST $21 billion in 2020.

Don't sell off Channel 4

A privatised Channel 4 wouldn't be the same. Its focus on innovation would disappear as shareholder profits become the only priority. It would cut its work with hundreds of independent producers....
