🇪🇸🗣️ Roberto Martinez: "My time at Everton? We had to sell Fellaini, Anichebe, and we brought James McCarthy, Gareth Barry, Romelu Lukaku. I think we were just one transfer window away to be able to win silverware." 🏆
"But I accept as well that we needed more. There are many games that we lost from small details, that if we would have won, I'm sure I would've had more time. Looking back, I'm very, very proud of what we achieved. Some of the football that we played in those 3 seasons was of the highest level." 🔵✨ (@GOAL)
Let him out
Britain’s most notorious prisoner, Charles Bronson (real name Michael Gordon Peterson), has been filmed singing to his 96-year-old mother, Eira Peterson, ahead of his ninth parole hearing.
In a video recorded inside prison, he croons “What a Wonderful World” and sends her a message: “Alright my old Duchess, how are you girl? It’s me, it’s Charlie. Not seen you for a while – about nine years. Don’t forget you’re always in my heart.”
Bronson was first jailed in 1974, aged 21, for armed robbery. He has been released only twice since, briefly in 1987 and again in 1992 and has remained in prison since 1993.
In 2000 he received a life sentence for false imprisonment after taking a prison art teacher hostage for 44 hours. Over the decades he has taken 11 hostages across nine sieges and spent much of his time in solitary confinement or high-security units.
Now 73, he is serving an indefinite sentence and is currently making his ninth bid for parole.
