People dunking on this have a kind of Stockholm Syndrome from the difficulty of using computers. Being able to just say what you want or need and have it happen was always the dream of the Computer Revolution. The original pioneers would be elated the difficulty has melted away.
My 12 year old son just made this @Tesla Roadster game from scratch by himself using AI. AI is nuts.

It’s probably just the algorithm but the anti-AI posts have reached a kind of fever pitched denialism I don’t remember before. Just repeating mantras that are trivially disproven by using the latest systems for five minutes. This is the real AI psychosis.

I’ve seen things in Vegas that make me think that cert was just an unlucky draw

Anyone who has fallen in and out of love with PHP knew this day would one day come. May the odds be ever in your favor 🫡
Effective Immediately, all organizations using PHP for their systems are advised to be prepared for an update addressing two critical vulnerabilities. PHP is widely used for web applications. These vulnerabilities often provide a direct path to the server's file system or database. If an immediate update is not feasible, it is recommend that organizations take the system offline until it can be fully mitigated. NSA will follow up shortly with more specific guidance.

A point of view is worth 80 IQ points. A point of view with an unlimited token budget is something else altogether.

It’s true. Opus 5.5 is actually good. There is no emoji reality distortion field. It’s just good.
now that opus 5.5 is good at code, i can openly like claude without some annoying Codex nerds judging me for being an airheaded bimbo, which I am for unrelated reasons.

Honestly can’t believe what I’m getting the computers to do right now. Every computer that exists has a huge hardware overhang.

Imagine thinking this is a dunk when I’ve been proved 100% correct that artists who helped stigmatize NFTs made the most short-sighted and disastrous economic move of the last decade. If that hadn’t happened there would be a vibrant economy around non-AI provenance in art.

Free language learning idea: a diffusion model that runs ahead of your screen pixels and progressively replaces more and more of your native language’s text with the target language you want to learn.
I just built a tool that generates custom Anki decks for you in any two (supported) languages. You can choose topics, what appears on the cards, etc. All runs locally in your browser. The tool is free and will always remain free. Links are suppressed, you know where to find it

The US should compel labs to open source their last gen models if they want to not end up in a pants-on-head scenario where the whole world except the US government is using open models
The Department of Homeland Security is requiring all civilian federal agencies to remove DeepSeek products and 'any third-party services developed using DeepSeek implementations,' and to stop buying them.

DeepSeek is what OpenAI was supposed to be.
🚀 Introducing DeepInfer, our in-house inference framework, now fully open source! Powering DeepSeek-V4.1-Flash at scale with high throughput and low latency. We’re sharing our production stack to help the community lower compute costs, reduce energy use, and make AI more affordable. 🔗 github.com/deepseek-ai/DeepI… 1/4

If this is a real concern it’s obvious that it can be mitigated by every company who wants to compete with Anthropic or SpaceX to also grant free shares to US citizens
Rich people don’t do things to become less rich even if it looks like it’s truly for the common good. If this happens and if companies like Elon’s and Anthropic issue “free shares” this essentially solidifies themselves for eternity. They will essentially become another branch of the government. I know it’s still early, but I’ve been discussing these things for well over a year. We won’t just blindly accept the future you are building and be bridges into silence. Show meaningful, good for all of humanity work, and then we can consider these things. All it is for now is more pandering bs.

Assuming this happens, it is going to be something else seeing people refuse these shares for their children
Next year, I will give one of my SpaceX shares to every kid in America. This will be the first of many.

OpenAI really killed usage, I am burning through a whole week’s usage in a few hours now with just a few concurrent sol 6.1 xhigh agents.

Anyone now can reverse engineer Adobe Photoshop, but do you have the courage to reverse engineer Microsoft Windows?
