All Ontarians and Canadians need to heed the words of @wendellpotter Our healthcare is at risk. @fordnation and @SylviaJonesMPP are planning to destroy our healthcare and make it unaffordable for everyone but their rich friends. Call your MPP.
Amid America's #COVID19 disaster, I must come clean about a lie I spread as a health insurance exec: We spent big $$ to push the idea that Canada's single-payer system was awful & the U.S. system much better. It was a lie & the nations' COVID responses prove it. The truth: (1/6)

The @fordnation grift continues. Hey conservatives when it takes decades for the other parties to repair the damage done by the @OntarioPCParty we donβt want to hear any whining from you.
NEW TODAY: The Ford government plans to spend billions more this year β but not on sectors that say they desperately need it, like health care and education.
Ontarioβs fall economic statement sets aside $3.8 billion in a contingency fund, more than double what was budgeted in March, to provide "fiscal flexibility" amid ongoing economic uncertainty.
The province is also projecting a $16.9 billion deficit, and has pushed back its timeline to balance the books.

This is exactly what Doug Ford and other conservative Premiers want:
For political commentators to throw their hands up and say βwell, obviously our system doesnβt work.β
No. Our crumbling healthcare system is a deliberate choice. Ford is killing it so he can give it away.

WATCH: The Poilievre Conservatives keep booing #LPC MP @JohnPaulDanko.
The Speaker has to intervene multiple times and ask them to cooperate.
Time for the Speaker to start kicking Conservatives out of the House if they canβt behave!

Hallway medicine, EMS stretcher medicine, and chair medicine remains a serious problem in Ontario ERs. Premier Ford promised to eliminate it. Instead it exploded under his leadership. Hospital underfunding remains a serious problem. By @AidanChamandy

Ontario, our big problem is Doug Ford has until 2030 to continue laughing at us, destroying our province, starving health care/education & wasting taxpayer money on his wealthy friends & developer buddies. HE DOESNβT CARE ABOUT US.

π¨ BREAKING π¨ Another Ford bombshell
Conservative MPP caught in cash for access scandal.
Lobbyist Mr. X organized a $25,000 fundraiser for Conservative MPP Laurie Scott. In exchange, she helped the lobbyist override planning laws for one of his developer clients.

The Ford PC governmentβs blame game for their own financial mismanagement continues β this time their scapegoat is students.
In 2023, Minister Nolan Quinn received reports that millions of public dollars were being funneled into a handful of private career colleges. He failed to act.
Today, I heard no remorse for the students whose futures have been upended by this governmentβs decision to freeze OSAP for all career colleges.
Worse, Minister Quinn continues to refuse to reverse his OSAP changes.
I asked the Premier if he would fire Minister Quinn but Ford is clear: his loyalty lies with his Minister, not Ontario students. #onpoli
More of the same from the crooked @fordnation government. Cover up after cover up to hide their dirty dealings from Ontarians.
The Ford government could have asked Ontarioβs Auditor General to investigate and report publicly to the Legislature. Instead, it hired KPMG.
John Fraserβs concern is simple: a KPMG report goes back to the government first, while the Auditor General reports to Ontarians through the Legislature.
If this is about getting answers, why choose the option that gives the government more control over when and how those answers come out?

I would support the Canadian government taking over Stelco and then investing in it and growing it on a massive scale to crush this POS
What did you expect Ontario. You allowed a premier to be elected who asked an unqualified person who has a diploma in radio broadcasting to run healthcare. There are consequences to not voting. Provincial governments influence your day to day life more than federal governments.
Ontarioβs hallway health care numbers have hit unprecedented highs:
On an average day in Jan 2025, Ontario hospitals treated 2,088 patients in hallways, break rooms and other spaces never meant for care.
It was the most since Ontario Health began tracking the number in 2017 and 52 per cent more than January 2018, the winter before Doug Ford won a majority government promising to end hallway health care.

Hey @petehoekstra Canada will be proud to take the blame when @realDonaldTrump loses but you may want to give some of the credit to asinine comments like this. Trump is the most out of touch populist ever.

Quiet PIGGYπ· "Obama!"
Trump"come to MaraLago, you'll be my guest. The problem is that for $5,000 the most you'll be able to buy is a hamburger and maybe a small dessert.I'm not even sure you could buy that! It's not a good place if you're price conscious."

How dare you, @fordnation! It's one thing to put ON taxpayers in a difficult position, it's despicable to pull the rug out from unsuspecting students. Not only have you ruined their plans, you have ruined their future, placing them in a difficult financial/emotional bind. #OSAP
The Ford government were warned about possible OSAP fraud at a few private career colleges for years and did nothing. Now they're punishing ALL students. People who were already approved and enrolled in programs are now wondering how they're going to make rent.
Ford needs to stop doubling down on his mistakes and reinstate OSAP now.

Congratulations Premier Lardass, you set a new record.
Doug Ford is purposely destroying our public healthcare by investing our tax dollars into the private care system.
This needs to end!

The number of patients in hallways is ballooning and hospitals are cutting thousands of staff, which will worsen the problem. Premier Ford promised to end hallway medicine in 2018. Let's hold him to that promise.
