Today @GoFundMe shut down our fundraiser for a longhouse on wheels, before we had a chance to launch it. The "Landback mobile command centre" was to be a distribution point for food, supplies and educational material that we could tow around the Gitxsan villages.

We had big plans to host karaoke nights and kids' bike clinics this spring. The LBMCC could also serve as an emergency shelter for unhoused community members, or guests helping build cabins on our lax yip. We will find another way to raise funds for building materials.

We are witnessing increasing settler vigilantism down at Fairy Creek and on Wet'suwet'en Yintah. Loggers assaulting peaceful protesters, CGL heavy machine operators nearly skewering media vehicles with forklifts while yelling "I got one" on the radio.

Worst of all, is the burning down of Wet'suwet'en homes and the destruction of personal belongings by CGL. This includes ceremonial and cultural items of the Wet'suwet'en people. The RCMP allows this to happen with impunity, and the CGL workers seem to delight in these actions.
