New blog post: CalDigit TS3+ on Mid-2014 MBP - what features work when you run this Thunderbolt 3 dock from a Thunderbolt 2 host via the Apple TB3-2 dongle? The answer is surprisingly many of them. stackunderflow.com/post/cald…

New blog post - Thunderbolt, USB 3.2 and more 10Gbit fun stackunderflow.com/post/thun… In this blog post, I connect a CalDigit TS3+ dock to a 2014 MBP using a backwards TB2 to 3 adaptor, and see what works - with a USB 3.2 10Gbit SSD, and a Thunderbolt 3 10GBaseT adaptor.

Haven't had the second, but yes, the first has been the case pretty much every one I've been to.
Also I wrote this one the other day: stackunderflow.com/post/fina… I'm not sure which is more obscure - faster-than-gigabit networking or creating Final Cut Pro ProRes Proxy on Linux...
stackunderflow.com/post/more… It's been a while, but here's a blog post about a new fileserver and some interesting 10GBaseT/NBaseT hardware.
Add the IP to that, and it'll be treated as secure and should allow geolocation.

That, and balloons are magnetically repelled from parkland in which it would be very easy to retrieve them.

Also I haven't had luck remotely turning it off - how are you controlling it with the Google Home, I'd be interested to know.

Hi, thanks for the tweet. I haven't written a step by step guide but I think the post was comprehensive enough - is there any particular part you're confused by? If you don't fully understand what you're doing here I'd advise some care as you may brick the TV...

If the 5v side is just being used to power a logic level converter, you could get away with using a linear regulator for it (e.g. 7805).

My favourite: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bounda… "if we set the border between Victoria and Tasmania at 39°12′ S, it won't slice any of the islands in half and will be a nice neat sea border..."

every time I read a recipe with “chop spring onions on an angle” I chop them straight across and mutter under my breath “fuck you, 90° is an angle too”
