some of you went from “buy every dip” to writing bitcoin’s obituary in one candle.
here’s how i’m looking at the binance situation.
estimated impact is around $6.3b. roughly $3b has already been frozen. binance says it will cover the losses through safu and its own funds.
if that frozen $3b is fully recovered, the remaining gap would be around $3.3b before any additional recoveries.
the part worth watching is how those missing assets get replaced.
if @binance needs to buy assets beyond what it can recover or cover with existing holdings, that creates replacement demand. the amount, timing and allocation to btc still need confirmation, but it’s a potential source of buying worth paying attention to.
the hack is serious. i’m watching how it’s handled. so far, it hasn’t changed my broader view on bitcoin.
my long from $80,400 is still open.
my spot from $60,000 is still held.
i didn’t enter this market expecting a straight line up. i’m not going to rewrite my entire thesis every time price moves against my entry.
if the facts change, i’ll reassess. a red candle alone isn’t enough.

a lot of these people already understand investing. they just need someone to make crypto make sense.
