Imagine Kellen Moore’s meetings now
“Pretty uncomfortable,” J.J. McCarthy told The Post. “At the end of the day, when you’re getting called out in front of your peers, that hits home.” Asked how many guys were called out, McCarthy said: “A lot. A lot.” You think Boone is calling out players in front of everyone? Sorry coaching matters

The years Drew had no run game (not sure if ever this bad) he threw between 15 and 22 picks.

Every other team for the most part can cut or trade players like this and SAVE MONEY. We cut them, they still take up like 15% of the cap. For a team that has not made the playoffs in 6 YEARS! Like think about that.
18M in dead money when you trade Grando 15M in dead money when you trade Ruiz 8M in dead money if you trade Werner Loomis has mind zapped yall into thinking that shit cool lol

This is the part that continues to bother me. I’m just sick and tired of our front office doing business this way. Just start operating like a normal fucking franchise for once. They literally can never cut a player without eating a massive dead cap hit.
Look at some of these players and 2027 cap hits. Can't believe Loomis employed 😭

Justin Reid having a 13m dollar cap hit in the third year of his deal whether he is on the roster or not on a rebuilding team is fucking completely insane. Like completely insane. Every other team just drafts two safeties and throws them out there. They do this.

Gonna zag a bit here. I think the NFL would be pumped if Flores got a HC job, it would probably take a little pressure off that lawsuit. “See, we aren’t discriminatory!” I also think a new GM would kill to have a coach he knows is literally ELITE ELITE at something.
1. The NFL is wont be keen on hiring a black defensive HC suing the NFL while having already failed once 2. If loomis is the GM maybe. But if its a fresh GM. The team has a franchise qb, loads of cap space and likely a top 10 pick Thats thr best situation a coach can ask for

Flores is basically Ben Johnson or Kyle Shanahan on defense. Like literally the best currently doing it and has had SUSTAINED SUCCESS at it. I’m gonna bet he’s learned and grown from his time under KOC and is a much better HC if he gets another shot.

If Gayle burns this thing down (and I still have my doubts), she needs to get Drew and Tyrann in the building to help her hire the next FO leaders and coach. Because he’s not afraid to say what needs to be said. youtu.be/CsYS6i3tzb8?is=lIHg…

NEW: UCLA head coach Bob Chesney on the idea of getting “poached” in the coaching carousel: “I’ve said it before, this is the greatest place in the world to play football and it’s the greatest place in the world to coach football.” (via @BruinReport) on3.com/news/bob-chesney-sho…

Look I’ve seen a lot of Saints fans shitting on Shough for this play and it certainly sucked but, I want them to brace themselves for this… sometimes even Drew Brees threw redzone interceptions too. 37 of them to be exact. It happens.
Great play by Wilson on a terrible ball by Shough. Both things can be true. This has to be a completion 99 of 100 times, but this was the one. Props to Wilson

Sometimes you get picked off in the redzone. The other team gets paid too. I’ve seen it happen to the best ones in the game. The issue is that this team and coaching staff literally cannot overcome anything negative. And that’s not on Tyler. That’s on Kellen and Mickey.

I’ve been thinking this for a few weeks now. He isn’t bouncing into an NFL OC job after this. He’s going to either be a college OC or have to do an NFL analyst rehabilitation tour to even have a chance to get back to being an OC. It’s that ugly.
When I say I don’t think he’d even be hired as a OC when he’s eventually let go is his offensive philosophy is just so behind, we’re basically running middle 2010s Big 12 passing offense

This staff is dumb AF man.
My understanding is that Nathan Shepherd being inactive against the Steelers wasn't necessarily illness related. He had missed a lot of time the last few weeks due to an illness and the Saints opted to go with other players in Paris.

Looking at this list I feel pretty confident that, especially with our upcoming schedule, we will not be picking 11th. It may not be one but the 4-8 range feels about right. If Shough gets more injured though the first pick is not off the table.
So many bad teams. Feels like the number is increasing each year, too. Makes you wonder about what’s going on at the collegiate level…

This is a pretty good point. He has been pretty terrible at QB sneaks since he’s taken over. It’s probably the one thing he has been legitimately bad at. You can blame the OL and coaching if you want, and they aren’t blameless. But this is a skill for a QB and he ain’t got it.
QB sneak is not Shoughs forte. I’d copy the Seahawks and have Noah Fant or Delp take those snaps.

Why would the state pay for upgrades to a privately owned facility?

I knew Young was killing it. I had no idea he was literally second in the league in sacks at the moment. This is insane. And he is basically doing it with no real help from the interior.
The revival of Chase Young’s career isn’t talked about enough

So this basically nails it and is why I get annoyed when I see some Saints fans just let Mickey off the hook by saying “he just defers to his coaches.” He HIRES the coaches who fit what he is looking for. That’s a different thing altogether.
Replying to @gp8957
I thought about it. I think that’s why Mickey wanted him. The “glass half full” attitude. I despise it. It’s always used as a cop out.

He got lucky Green Bay passed and Payton wanted to be a HC and was done waiting. But it worked. When Sean was done, he viewed everything Sean built as a thing he built, viewed the operation he was running as more special than it was, and viewed himself and his FO as the reason.

Not saying he viewed it as the only reason just saying his view of things was completely different in 2022 and 2026 than it was in 2005. So he looked for a very different type of coach than the one he went after in 2005. Alas, here we are.
