You're both still the same people, married or not. A ring, a wedding, and a marriage certificate won’t magically solve any existing problems in your relationship. Some people want a wedding day so badly that they don’t think about what that wedding day means: a lifetime with someone who may or may not be very good for them, or until one of them decides to file for a divorce.
Don't go into a relationship thinking you could change your partner, let alone a marriage. In fact, a marriage is designed to reveal problems and incompatibilities between the two of you, instead of fixing them. Now if you genuinely want things to change, you might want to consider (premarital) therapy to work out your issues before you walk down the aisle.
