Nobody Knows How Big GEO Is - Analyst estimates of the GEO market disagree by a factor of six on the forecast and nearly seven on current size, with growth rates from 13.6% to 50.5%. The skeptics are right that these numbers are unreliable guptadeepak.com/nobody-knows…

For about a week, ChatGPT links lost their UTM tags and referrer. Adobe's Cedric Huesler saw ChatGPT traffic fall ~31K visits a day while "direct" rose ~26K. It was a bug, now fixed. If your AI traffic dashboard trusts one referrer field, it can go blind overnight.

Jensen Huang posted on Sept 6 that AGI has arrived. The same post ended: "400K GPUs coming online next." Ten days earlier, on NVIDIA's earnings call: "for many tasks, we could say that we've already achieved AGI." The hedge disappeared between the analyst call and X.

America.gov launched today: one AI front door to roughly 29,000 federal websites, powered by Gemini and Grok. No account required. Today it answers and routes. It does not transact yet. That distinction is the whole story.

In May, 1 in 3 AI answers in our customers' categories named a brand. Today it's 1 in 5. Query volume is up. The engines are just naming fewer companies per answer. Two or three vendors got removed from consideration in a conversation they'll never see. 15 weeks. Not 15 months.

GEO is not SEO with a new label. Search ranks pages. Generative engines shred pages into fragments, reassemble an answer, then decide who gets named in it. What actually moves it: 1. Be the primary source, not the summary of one 2. Publish original data others are forced to cite 3. State your positioning the same way everywhere, models learn consensus 4. Show up where crawlers already trust: docs, forums, reference sites You are not optimizing a page. You are optimizing what the model believes about you.

SEO optimized for the click. AEO optimizes for the answer that replaces the click. If your page cannot be quoted in 40 words, it will not be cited. The shift: - Lead with the answer, not the intro - One claim per paragraph - Structure facts as lists and tables - Keep entity names identical everywhere Rankings are vanity. Citations are the new traffic.

I stopped paying for positioning audits. My spam folder does it for free. An SDR who has never met me described GrackerAI's ICP word for word in a cold email. If a stranger with a quota and 90 seconds can summarize you correctly, so can ChatGPT.

48% of ChatGPT cybersecurity citations come from Wikipedia. Not your blog. Not your case studies. Wikipedia. When did you last check yours? Is it accurate? Is the category right? Is it current? AI trusts neutral, structured, consistent sources. That is the whole lesson. #GEO #AEO

One question for your team Monday morning: "If our best buyer asked ChatGPT for the top 3 vendors in our category right now, would we be on that list?" If nobody knows the answer, that is the answer. What does your team say? #GEO #CyberMarketing

So true! Anyone can create simple software and clean layouts. That's why we are building an amazing GEO and AEO platform focused on cybersecurity vertical, not a general GEO tool.
When software was expensive - thin, horizontal, best-of-breed software stacks extracted rents across every business. Now that software is cheap - value moves to vertically integrated businesses that deliver opinionated end-to-end experiences.

Thousands of companies are running production logins on a product that's already been declared dead. Akamai Identity Cloud: no new customers since 2024, features frozen, full shutdown Dec 31 2027. They're living inside a countdown. In identity, that's normal. So I built the graveyard. 🧵

Seed: 2–8% Series A: 8–20% Series B+: 20–35% Category leaders: 35–50% Most security vendors sit at 2–8%, regardless of how established they are. The gap is not product quality. It is whether AI knows you exist. #GEO #AEO

Old buyer: "SIEM tools" New buyer: "best SIEM for a 500-person fintech with PCI scope and a 3-person SOC?" Keyword tools are blind to that. Every constraint in the prompt is a chance to be included or excluded. Stop researching keywords. Research questions. #AEO #GEO

There is no single "AI search." ChatGPT rewards authority. Perplexity rewards freshness. Each engine trusts different sources. A fresh comparison page can hit Perplexity in hours and take weeks to move ChatGPT. One strategy for all six is none. #GEO #AEO

The AEO tool trap: Fast checklist. Generic AI content. A vanity score. A monthly bill. ~12% of marketing budget is moving to AI visibility, and most tools cannot tie any of it to a deal. Ask yours one question: does this connect to pipeline? #GEO #MarTech

XDR + SIEM + SOAR in one sentence on your homepage? A human reads breadth. An AI reads ambiguity. Ambiguity gets left out of the answer. Generic AEO tools have no concept of category disambiguation. In security, that is the whole game. #AEO #CyberMarketing
