Considering that lesbians and bisexual women have essentially always shared communities (originally with a majority lesbian to bisexual ratio), I think the biggest difference with bisexual women today vs before stonewall is that, for the most part, it's not that hard to come out as "LGBTQIA2S+β’ " in the west.
The only bisexual women active in lesbian spaces pre-stonewall were actively dating women and ingratiating their entire lives with homosexual women. Those women still exist, but now there are way way way more women who think it's sexy or cool to identify as lesbian when they're bisexual and that it's cool to identify as bisexual when they're functionally heterosexual. Words don't mean anything anymore too thanks to gender ideology. It just all really sucks and feels like shit, because those spaces do not exist anymore.
And I just keep asking myself, how did it get like this? How did it get this bad? Bisexual women mislabeling themselves due to lack of vocabulary/eduction is nothing new. Why is it so bad now? Is it porn? Is it the male attention economy? Why is it so much worse today?
