Starlink + Margaux are the perfect pairing
I don’t get why business class on planes is so focussed on feeding you and getting you drunk rather than ways to make it easier to get work done. It should be about good tables and Starlink not chateaux Margaux

Voting against *every* new funding measure is the best choice. Paradoxically, it’s even more important to vote them down if you believe the stated goal to be a worthy one. Grifters and scammers can’t steal your money by pushing unpopular causes.
Something feels a bit iffy about California prop 38. Doing a popular vote proposed by a 3 person non-profit that gives said non profit $4.2B from the public! I hope Gary is great and knows how to spend $4.2B well because it’s done.

Today's AI use case: I told my assistant that Nassau Street Partners keeps spamming me with fake accounts. It found LinkedIn Help and filed a case in <15 seconds. If you've ever tried to file a LinkedIn support ticket, you know that's a win.

My wife and I have endured three rough patches in a dozen years. Once we both agreed that divorce was off the table, the only way out was through. And in all three instances, the following year delivered an S-tier outcome for us.
Of unhappily married people who stayed together, two-thirds called the same marriage happy five years later. Of the very unhappy who stayed, nearly 8 in 10. Divorced individuals were no happier. Most rough patches are just patches. The rational move is usually to push through. Study: healthymarriageinfo.org/wp-c…

Most people vote on vibes, not policy
Voters agreed with Republicans on every policy at issue and then voted Democrat lmao

Fuck Scott Galloway, fuck Kara Swisher, and fuck anyone who supports them. This is Stalin-esque.
At an event with Kara Swisher, Scott Galloway called for the execution of Elon Musk for being a “traitor to the west” live on stage.

Friends in town for the weekend. Took the boat out, caught the U Miami game, opened some killer wines, and stayed out way too late. Truly grateful to have friends that still make it a priority to get together after 20+ years even with demanding jobs and young children.

The unprompted name / money drop 🚩 has an extremely high hit rate. Domain agnostic.
Someone tried to impress me by out-of-context mentioning his $25M Miami penthouse he never uses. Business partner (who is gay) said I should have deadpanned: oh how nice, we can see Ken Griffin's private marina from there.

I think this is a real shift. My wife and I both work very hard, but we’re ruthless about protecting time for our daughter, workouts, friends and family, hobbies, and vacations. As a consequence we’ve rejected a number of more lucrative opportunities. At some point, the marginal dollar just isn’t worth sacrificing the freedom to actually enjoy your life.

👇 "As sick and tired as we are of the retard right, it is just a fact that they are the smaller and less consequential retard faction."
There are thousands of libs who have done far more damage than comet pizza guy based on the QAnon-tier conspiracy theory of 'rape culture'. As sick and tired as we are of the retard right, it is just a fact that they are the smaller and less consequential retard faction.

I ran a study on this for a friend at another VC firm. Two core findings about AI romantic companions: 1. Widespread use is inevitable (it's already more common than people think) 2. Women, not men, are the primary consumers (at least until physical robots become lifelike)
Anthropic President Daniela Amodei calls AI girlfriends a "terrible use of AI" "There are some applications of AI that we think are quite bad, like making AI girlfriends or boyfriends. I think that’s a terrible use of AI and people should not do it" "The reason that I think that is because it is another step further down the road of disintermediation, of humans being further from one another" "Technology in the social media age has largely been used to disintermediate humans from one another. Instead of you and I going to have an iced coffee together in person, we’re messaging on Snapchat or Instagram" "A much better world of AI is one in which artificial intelligence is doing a lot of the things that are isolating or lonely activities for humans, so that we can spend more time together"

During undergrad, rape accusations were made against two people I personally knew. Both turned out to be probably false, but the school still attempted to expel the accused. It’s only gotten worse. Universities are rife with cowards & sycophants. They deserve serious penalties.
david sabatini is one of the brightest scientists in america. years after a fake rape accusation shattered his life and career, he sued his accuser and won. he discussed the details of this shocking story with @neerajadeshp for pirate wires:

People are terrible at understanding 2nd-order effects. When AA admits students who can’t do basic math, it undermines the credibility of those that can. When false allegations go unpunished, real victims face greater skepticism. Those we’re trying to protect end up paying twice.
Replying to @yajnadevam
This is one of the big reasons I write about this stuff. It is not only innocent men who suffer from false allegations, but women who were actually raped and abused who do.

And yes, false accusers need to get jail time

#8 is interesting wrt SMB vs. Enterprise. I'm not saying that SMB's shouldn't value security and compliance, but their ability to operate without myriad checks and validation is a massive advantage - especially at the pace that AI is changing.
Anthropic wants to go public at 900% net revenue retention, a number no software company has come close to before, even if it's not apples to apples with classic NRR. The main GTM takeaways: 1. The focus is on capturing demand, not creating it: "By the time our direct teams engage a customer, Claude is often already in use." The rep's job is converting a handful of power users into an exec sponsor and a budget, not running email sequences. 2. The future of the direct sales motion is Applied AI, driven by forward deployed engineers, not just sales reps and sales engineers. 3. 48% of H1 revenue went through the AWS, GCP and Azure marketplaces. They have been able to leverage the hyperscalers in ways that few companies have done before. 4. 80% of revenue is consumption. Enterprise users who don't touch Claude Code average under $75/month, while the top 5% of Code users spend ~20x that. Run rate = trailing 28-day usage x 13 + monthly seats x 12. 5. The headline number is run-rate, not bookings or backlog. The business is managed on velocity, which flips the industry-standard GTM comp model on its head. 6. Over 80% of Q3 revenue came from models released in the prior six months. Every release is a free excuse to go back and revive the use case that failed eval last quarter. 7. ~250 customers already pay $10M+, and Fortune 500 customers still spend under 0.1% of their total expenses with them. Concentration risk is real though: the top 5 customers were ~25% of revenue through the first nine months of 2026. 8. Most enterprise customers hold back agent permissions until they get auditability, monitoring and access control. Getting agents right from an observability and security perspective will matter more than model quality.

There has never been a better time to start a company
Golden Age for Founders Listen to @pmarca re: startup formation. It’s already happening - small business formation is incredibly brisk. I drop startup ideas here — tech forward (agent orchestration, AI services, founder university, etc) and old school models (senior living, compounding pharmacy, etc) Here’s one for you. Multi-family is in distress. And asset prices have bottomed and are rising in good markers like Austin. If you have cash, and can buy all-cash, you will make a small or maybe large fortune. Rates are high - developers took out a lot of debt at ultra low rates 5 years ago. AND they made capex improvements. There’s an old joke in real estate that the third owner makes the money. This is the third owner moment.
