So far not working out so hot. $TQQQ
Wow! Traders piled in nearly $1 billion into 3x leveraged Nasdaq 100 ETF after Friday’s 3.5% drop in $QQQ. This is the fifth largest single day inflow on record.
The last such spike came just a day before the 2025 bottom. Let's not talk about the first two spikes, okay?

ALT Chart showing Nasdaq-100 ETF (QQQ) price performance alongside daily fund flows into the 3x leveraged Nasdaq-100 ETF (TQQQ) since 2021. The latest inflow of nearly $1 billion marks the fifth-largest daily inflow on record. Money buys you a better version of almost everything. A better school, a better surgeon, a better seat at the game.
Investing is the exception.
Warren Buffett made this point in his 2006 shareholder letter. Wealthy people, he said, expect their money to buy them something superior to what everyone else gets. And the advisers who play to that expectation get very rich.
His own advice was much simpler: a low-cost index fund. He even bet that one would beat a hand-picked group of hedge funds over ten years. He won comfortably.
He also predicted that the industry would keep finding new things to sell wealthy investors as that ‘something extra’. The product would change, but the pitch wouldn’t. This year’s ‘magic potion’, he wrote, might be hedge funds. Next year it would be something else.
Today it’s private equity and private credit.
Benjamin Felix explains why the pitch still works. In investing, paying more and trying harder tends to leave you worse off. That’s hard to accept if you’re used to getting what you pay for.

When we stop getting the "Black Monday" tweets and discussions on X after a sell off on Friday is when we might one day get a Black Monday.
The market doesn't open until 830 am now in Alberta. That's weird. My whole routine feels different now.
Last week's Top 5...
This Week's Top FIVE Things. That's right. Only five things. Not FIVE per day. I mean, who can digest 25 things in a week?
Here is my shot at bringing you what I think are the most important FIVE things that happened this week. Mostly market related. Not AI generated. That's obvious from my grammar.
It's weird how everyone on X assumes if you are an investor you own heaps of hyperscalers and AI related names. That's all anyone talks about.
There are a lot of other industries and sectors that are doing fine.
Oil and gas, biotech, healthcare, to name a few.

Stanley Druckenmiller was down $3 billion during the dot com bubble in 2000
When asked about whether he learned anything from the experience, he said he didn’t learn anything because he already knew not to do that
So, this AI trade. Is it done? Have we seen the top? I'm talking more specifically towards the price action in the related stocks.
I understand that it isn't that cut and dry as there are a lot of different trades under the AI umbrella. Hyperscalers, data centers, semiconductors, electrical componenets, neoclouds, energy etc.
It's a lot more broad in focus vs trends that I've had success in the past such as energy, cannabis, crypto pre 2022.
What inning are we in? Or is the ball game over, as in we have seen the top in prices.
had to make this after what jon stewart said at the 41 minute mark
Joined Jon Stewart on @weeklyshowpod to talk about the AI bubble, the massive credit risk of AI data centers, Anthropic's S-1, and how American retail investors are massively exposed to the unwinding of the AI trade.
