🚨⚡ URGENT APPEAL – WE DESPERATELY NEED AN ELECTRICIAN IN ESSEX! ⚡🚨 We’ve been let down at the very last minute, and we urgently need your help. At Dogs on the Streets, every kennel we open means another dog can have a safe place to stay, a roof over their head, and a chance at a better life. We have TWO NEW KENNEL BLOCKS ready and waiting, but we urgently need a qualified, kind-hearted electrician to install the electricity so we can start utilising these kennels as soon as possible. We are absolutely desperate to get these kennels up and running for the dogs who need us. Every day we wait is another day we cannot make full use of this vital space. As a charity, we rely on the kindness and generosity of others to make these things happen. We simply don't have the resources of a large commercial charity, which is why we're reaching out to our incredible community for help. IS THERE AN ELECTRICIAN OUT THERE WHO COULD HELP US? We are desperately seeking a qualified electrician in the Essex area who would be willing to support our charity by carrying out the installation at a charitable or heavily discounted rate. We know there are some truly wonderful people out there who care about making a difference, and we are hoping that someone might be able to step forward when we need it most. ⚡ Two kennel blocks.
🐾 So many dogs who need us.
❤️ One incredible act of kindness could help us open these facilities much sooner. PLEASE, if you are an electrician, know an electrician, or have a contact who may be able to help, we would be so grateful if you could get in touch. 📧 [email protected] And please SHARE, SHARE, SHARE this appeal. You never know who in your network might be able to help us. #UrgentAppeal #DogsOnTheStreets #EssexElectrician #CharitySupport #HelpUsHelpDogs #CommunityKindness #EveryDogMatters

After forty years in front of the camera, I’ll be directing my first feature film, SO HELP ME GOD: a Civil War epic about a Union soldier named Albert Townsend, who should have received the Medal of Honor but didn’t. Clerical error. I learned of Albert through his descendants’ archival research. What I found was more than an injustice waiting to be corrected. It was a story of friendship and extraordinary courage: an unassuming young man becoming a soldier who held his ground, and his principles, under fire. That’s a story worth telling on the largest possible scale. And we’re inviting the people who want to see it told to help bring it to the screen, as investors in the film through Republic. We intend to do it justice: real cannons, one hundred horses, and the cast in period-accurate uniforms. We’ve brought on Mark Huffam, whose work includes Saving Private Ryan, Game of Thrones, and The Martian, to produce it. He knows what it takes to make an epic, and how much depends on the human story at its heart. At the Medal of Honor Heritage Center in Chattanooga, Tennessee, I introduced the project alongside Civil War historian Brad Quinlin, members of the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, and representatives of Civil War Roundtables. We’re also supporting the campaign for Albert’s posthumous Medal of Honor. His descendants are still fighting to see his courage properly recognized. This picture is about friendship, love, and honor — and common people rising to accomplish extraordinary things. I want to give that story everything it deserves. I hope you will lift the banner with us. Learn more about the film and the opportunity to invest: sohelpmegod.film

A post on the importance of giving time and appreciation to elderly people: “Twice this week, I have watched an elderly individual, fade into the busy life in which we all live. One man just needed Panadol for his wife but the shop assistant simply said it’s in ‘6’. But he struggled to navigate the supermarket and as I watched him go in the wrong direction, I left all my groceries and took him where he needed to go. Today, I watched an elderly man struggle in the heat, who had obviously had a fall with a huge scrape and blood on his leg. He walked past people in the cafe, while he slowly made his way to his car. Not one person stopped. Or looked. Or acknowledged him. I took him to his car and checked he was ok. He told me he had a fall and wasn’t sure how the air con worked in his car so he just didn’t use it. I sat with him, until his air con kicked in and heard him talk about the old frail body that he is in, that fails him now, every single day. When you see an elderly person walking down the street, searching in the supermarket or struggling to their car, take a minute out of your busy schedule and ask them if they need a hand. Think about your grandparents and your parents and how pissed off you would be if someone didn’t stop to help them. But more, think of them as you. Once upon a time they were you. They were busy, they had work, they had children, they were able... Today, they are just in an older body that is not going as fast as it used to and this busy life is confusing. They deserve our utmost respect and consideration. One day it will be you, it will be us. I wish more people gave a shit about them and acknowledged them for their admirable existence and geez I hope someday, not that far away, someone does it for me.” Credit: Adele Barbaro

19-year-old Afghan Muslim was arrested outside of Afghanistan after locals caught him red-handed digging up the grave of a freshly buried young girl. Police say he confessed to repeatedly exhuming the bodies of minor girls, cleaning and dressing them, then sexually assaulting their corpses. And Shabana Mahmood wants to welcome these people to the UK.

Every penny of income tax paid to the government by every worker in Britain, goes straight to pay benefits. In fact, the benefits bill is higher than the amount of income tax received. The government then spends £21 billion a year on foreign aid. Foreign aid is where they take money from hardworking people in Britain and give it to corrupt officials in Pakistan, Afghanistan and Somalia amongst many others. Every gimmigrant who is shipped in by this government, costs hardworking tax payers £40,000 per year. Each and every one. This country is £3 trillion in debt. You cannot even comprehend that amount. What is Andy Burnham’s solution? A few pence off gherkins and marmalade, and an extra £1.27 per month on post office fees. Any MP from any party that tells you they’ll fiddle around with a penny here or there on tax is being disingenuous in the extreme. This is not the time for fiddling as the ship goes down, it is a time for leadership. A time for a vision for Britain that makes Britain great again and that means a Britain that is fair. Fair for those who contribute. Not for those who don’t. A Britain that looks after British people. The rest of the world can look after themselves.

Meghan Markle certainly has singular accomplishments. Aside from the determination she is presently displaying, and has displayed in the past, to twist, turn and exploit everything that happens to her advantage (something she is presently doing as she exploits her father's disgrace to her advantage), she has graduated from being a member of the Royal Family with a platform for doing good for humanity through public service under the umbrella of a respected thousand-year-old institution, to a guest star on an Australian cooking show. This has been by way of several (by her own account) multi-million dollar deals, all of which exploited the status she acquired upon marriage to the detriment of her husband's family, the British people's welcome to her, and race relations within Britain and the Commonwealth, as several diplomats of colour from the Caribbean and Africa had cause to complain to me, a Jamaican born and bred who is, like all Jamaicans irrespective of colour or class, regarded as a fully paid-up member of the Black community. She has also achieved the distinction of working her way downwards from being one half of one of the most popular and desirable couples on earth to one half of the most unpopular couples in the world. Along the way, she has been justly accused of being a bully, a ruthless and Macchiavellian conniver with scant regard for the facts, the rights of others or the injury she causes to those she targets, irrespective of their age, rank, relationship to her, or the justice of the victimisation. Although she and her husband have commended the SS, as their Sussex Squad is popularly known, for their support, neither of them has once called out this latter-day version of its earlier namesake as it seeks, on behalf of the couple, to bully, abuse, intimidate others who are going about their lawful business, as this gaggle of bullies misuse the law with chilling alacrity reminiscent of the earlier (albeit more deadly) squad which also shares the same abbreviated initials. Indeed, there is the suspicion, born of the Sussexes' support of the SS, that they approve of its activities, even when those activities are gross violations of the rights of others. In the latest example of the gross misuse of the power ithe SS seeks to acquire for itself, one of them has had the temerity to send me via my agent, with copies sent to ITV (the latter day version of the Ministry of Propaganda headed up by Dame Carolyn McCall, whose irresponsibility to the shareholders was so great that she shoved out her leading star, Piers Morgan, for daring to say that he did not believe a word out of Meghan Markle's mouth during the Oprah Winfrey interview [quite right too: It emerged Meghan's account of the facts contained no fewer than 17 distortions] and Chris Ship, propagandist in chief on the ground - or maybe it would be more accurate to say over the air?) a letter demanding that I cease and desist from saying anything critical of Meghan Markle. The irony is outstanding that followers of a woman, who complained about being silenced by the family which welcomed her as it had never welcomed anyone before - and who has taken loquacity to such lengths, along with her husband, that we now know what the tip of his and his brother's penis looks like, and what activities they were engaged in when he proposed - remains silent while her enforcers try to silence others who are merely going about their lawful business. She and they can lie as much as they want. They can violate anyone's privacy. But, as far as they're concerned, no one should dare to speak the truth about her or them without them attempting to shut their said victim down. What Meghan Markle's SS doesn't seem to realise is that this country is not yet Nazi Germany. If Meghan has been wronged by any author, journalist, commentator or broadcaster, she has recourse to the law, a right she and Harry have not hesitated to use on many an occasion as they have sought to silence criticism of their conduct. She does not have the right to unleash her legion of SS bullies onto people who are exercising their civil liberties in accordance with the rights of all citizens within a democracy, nor do those followers have the right to seek to pervert the purposes of the law for their cult leader's benefit. If Meghan wants criticism of her to end, she can end it quickly and easily. She can start to behave with the decency and decorum which she should have been employing from the very outset of her advent into a civilised world. She could also try dispensing with her cabal of public relations operatives and stop trying to hog the limelight on what is virtually a daily basis. A ladylike withdrawal from public view for an extended time would be welcomed by all with the possible exception of her, her husband, and their SS followers. She doesn't frigthen me, nor does her SS band of bullies, though this latest foray, following as it does an earlier one to fraudulently fabricate a GodFundMe account with the objective of accusing me of impropriety, suggests to me that I seem to frighten her and her followers. Would it be disingenuous of me to ask why, when I have always scrupulously adhered to the facts and her conduct, she or they would fear anything I could say or do, especially as how there are the laws of libel in place (something she and Harry are all too familiar with), yet never once have they had cause to deploy them against me or indeed to complain to me about anything I have ever said or written. Ah, but I'm forgetting the lessons of history. People who have or support the SS use force to club the innocent into submission when they can't deploy the law against them. And what better time to do so than when she and her equally money-grubbing brother are exploiting the truly ghastly accusations against their father for their own financial and reputational benefit.

An Open Letter to the University of Sydney @Sydney_Uni @mscott Regarding the appointment of Jacinda Ardern as Professor of Practice Dear Professor Scott, I read with absolute disgust that the University of Sydney has appointed Jacinda Ardern as Professor of Practice, where she will apparently be sharing her wisdom on empathetic leadership, social cohesion and civic trust. You cannot be serious. You are quoted as saying: "Dame Jacinda led New Zealand through events of profound consequence and her leadership demonstrated that empathy and resolve do not compete with one another; each can strengthen the other." Appointing Jacinda Ardern to teach social cohesion is rather like appointing Jeffrey Dahmer to teach a course on wellbeing, or Jimmy Savile to run the local daycare centre. The sheer absurdity would almost be funny if the consequences of her leadership weren't so hideously tragic. My name is Alia Bland. I am a co-founder of Voices for Freedom, an organisation established in New Zealand in 2020. For years, we stood alongside tens of thousands of ordinary Kiwis whose lives were torn apart by the policies of Ardern's government. While the international media fawned over her kindness and compassion, we were dealing with the wreckage. At the height of the COVID response, we were receiving upwards of 1,000 emails a day. Desperate people reaching out because they had lost their jobs, their incomes, their homes and, in many cases, their will to live. People nearing retirement were forced to sell family homes they had spent decades paying off. Some are still living in caravans five years later. Marriages collapsed. Families fractured. Lifelong friendships were destroyed. People who had served their communities for decades were suddenly treated like lepers because they declined a medical procedure. Some of the people who came to us had spent their entire lives believing New Zealand was a decent, fair-minded country. Watching that belief crumble, and seeing what it did to them, was heartbreaking. I cannot adequately describe the anguish in those emails. The desperation of parents wondering how they would feed and house their families. The humiliation of hardworking people being marched out of professions they loved. The despair of people who had done everything society asked of them, only to discover that their own government considered them disposable. And presiding over it all was Jacinda Ardern, smiling for the cameras and telling the world how kind New Zealand was. Kind? For whom? Her government deliberately created a two-class society. Ardern herself acknowledged it publicly. New Zealanders were excluded from workplaces, businesses, events and ordinary social life. People were coerced into accepting a medical intervention under threat of losing their livelihoods. And those who suffered adverse reactions to the COVID vaccines faced another nightmare. We fought for vaccine-injured New Zealanders whose lives had been devastated by serious physical harm, while many struggled to have their injuries acknowledged or receive adequate support. The government's public assurances about vaccine safety deserve particular scrutiny. Officials knew about the myocarditis risk, including among young people. We have examined the records. Yet people raising legitimate questions about those risks were routinely dismissed and vilified. The damage went far beyond lost incomes and broken relationships. An enormous number of New Zealanders lost faith in the very institutions they had trusted their entire lives. Government, health authorities, education, police and the media. That trust has not magically returned because Ardern has moved on to more prestigious surroundings. While her government was busy marginalising people, we were building a nationwide support network to help them survive. Voices for Freedom grew to more than 100,000 people on our mailing list, many representing entire families. More than 45,000 people signed up to our local groups across the country, which are still operational today in 2026. We established industry groups to help people fight for their careers, provided support through employment disputes and legal challenges, organised practical assistance and hand-delivered millions of flyers to households throughout New Zealand. We did this while facing censorship, public vilification and government surveillance. Official records obtained since have confirmed that our activities and communications were being monitored and reported on. Our volunteers gave everything they could to help people who had been abandoned by the institutions meant to protect them. And now the University of Sydney wants to hold up the woman responsible for overseeing this period as a shining example of empathy and social cohesion? It is sickening. Professor Scott, did anyone at your university bother to speak with the people whose lives were destroyed under Ardern's leadership before celebrating her appointment? Have you spoken to the former nurses, teachers and police officers who lost their careers? The families who lost their homes? The people still suffering from vaccine injuries? The parents whose children no longer speak to them? Or did you simply swallow the carefully cultivated international image of Saint Jacinda, the compassionate leader who saved New Zealand? I wonder whether you have considered why this internationally celebrated former prime minister now lives in Australia rather than the country she once led. The depth of hostility towards her among many New Zealanders should give you pause. Because I can assure you, there is another side to that story. And there are hundreds of thousands of New Zealanders who live with the consequences. I have no objection to universities studying Ardern's leadership. In fact, I would encourage it. There is an enormous amount to learn from what happened in New Zealand between 2021 and 2023. Like, what not to do... But presenting her as someone uniquely qualified to teach empathy, social cohesion and civic trust, without acknowledging the extraordinary human suffering that occurred under her leadership, is an insult to the people who paid the price. We were there, Professor Scott. We saw what happened. We picked up the pieces. We are still picking them up. Some of those people will never recover what they lost. And the woman who presided over it all gets a professorship in empathy. What an absolute disgrace. Yours sincerely, Alia Bland Co-founder, Voices for Freedom New Zealand

J.K. Rowling could have kept quiet, banked her billions and stayed everyone's favourite author. She didn't. She put her name, her reputation and her own money on the line for women. She founded Beira's Place, a women-only centre in Edinburgh for survivors of sexual violence. She has funded legal fights to protect women's rights and women-only spaces. And she has given a voice to women who were too scared to speak. For that she has faced years of death threats, rape threats and torture threats. She hasn't flinched once. That's not just a literary legend. That's a hero for women everywhere. 👏🇬🇧

That way, we could house our own homeless Brits at no extra cost! Brits whose parents and grandparents paid tax all their lives! Warped ideology drives warped decisions.
