Today, I was honored to join the Harrington family and the Junior Achievement of Greater Washington to unveil a memorial in honor of the late David Harrington, a proud Prince Georgian and one of our County’s most enduring public servants.

Prince Geogians are showing out for #NationalNightOut!

Today I delivered my annual State of the Economy Address. In Prince George’s County, we are working to grow in a smart way, focusing on transit-oriented development to bring new amenities to residents while growing the commercial tax base to remove the tax burden from homeowners.

Wonderful to network with colleagues and business leaders during the Prince George’s reception at the International Council of Shopping Centers conference. We’re here with our economic development team again this year working to bring new businesses and restaurants to the County.

It was great to speak with the Greater Washington Board of Trade this afternoon, providing important updates on our smart growth plans for Prince George’s.

Mr. Bailey and Mr. Karim, both proud Prince Georgians, were appointed by Governor Moore and sworn in by Prince George’s County’s Clerk of the Court Mahasin El Amin. We want to thank them for their willingness to serve Prince Georgians and Marylanders.

We are #PrinceGeorgesProud to congratulate Leon Bailey, Jr., who was recently appointed to the Maryland Public Private Partnership Marketing Corporation, and Omar Karim, who was appointed to the Maryland Economic Development Corporation Board of Directors.
