भाजपा और उनके संकीर्ण सोच के संगी-साथी ‘कला और कलाकारों’ के हमेशा ख़िलाफ़ रहते हैं क्योंकि इन पुरातनपंथी-रूढ़िवादियों की ये संकरी मानसिकता होती है कि रचनात्मक लोग ही समाज में परिवर्तन की भूमि और भूमिका बनाते हैं। सकारात्मक कला सहृदयता को जन्म देती है और सहनशीलता को भी। इसीलिए कला के हर रूप को ये अपने एजेंडे के रास्ते में रोड़ा मानते हैं या फिर कला को अपने एजेंडे के लिए इस्तेमाल करके उसको नकारात्मक बना देना चाहते हैं।
जिनके आगे ‘भारत रत्न’ लगा हो उनकी मिलीजुली विरासत को ध्वस्त करना, उनके मान-सम्मान के साथ-साथ ‘भारत’ के मान को भी ध्वस्त करने के समान है।
भाजपा नफ़रत की आग में जलकर देश को नुक़सान पहुँचा रही है।
सरकार में आने पर हम ‘भारत रत्न बिस्मिल्लाह ख़ान’ जी की सांगीतिक धरोहर को बचाने के लिए ‘श्रवण-संग्रहालय’ बनाएंगे

Pandit Nehru personally arranged for Ustad Bismillah Khan to participate in the 1947 Independence celebrations.
Ustad played Raag Kafi on his Shehnai.
A man who performed wuzu in the holy Ganga and awakened Kashi with his shehnai.
He belonged to neither one religion nor one community. He belonged to INDIA.
Does this country not have even a few square yards of land to honour a Bharat Ratna who gave India so much?
They are bulldozing India’s history, heritage, and very soul.

Within hours of landing in the US from Bombay, my sore throat eased. The mild headache, coughing and sneezing disappeared.
It made me wonder: how much discomfort have we simply accepted as normal?
We check AQI like we check the weather. Except this is the air our children are breathing. Where is the urgency? Why isn’t this treated as a public health emergency?
The privileged can buy air purifiers. What does the person selling flowers at a traffic signal do? The construction worker? The child walking to school?
“Stay indoors” is advice only some can afford to follow.
Clean air. Clean water. Good roads.
These are the bare minimum citizens should be able to expect. Why are we still begging for them?

Delhi's air pollution is a reminder of how governments fail their people. Populist politics, weak civic institutions, and a lack of public will to force institutions to change behavior are the reasons that millions suffer. People die because of air pollution; it damages your genes, affects unborn babies, and causes untimely deaths. Air pollution causes cancer and eats into economic activity, but our response still remains knee-jerk and inadequate.
