php2shell OOM in mod_php (CVE-2026-109618): the fake-HashTable fire only runs ~14-byte commands, too short for a shell. Poison a PHP session via upload_progress with <?php system(base64_decode())?>, then exec in 11 bytes: php /tmp/s* www-data shell. Full PoCs in my github repo!

After the Defcon CTF this year I have been seeing a lot of people talk about the "death of the CTF" because of agentic tooling.
I had written a whitepaper on this back in march analyzing first blood times on Hack the Box machines.
The writing has been on the wall for a while. It has, for at least a year or so, been about agentic engineering at the top level and not about cyber skills.
