If Zelensky Is So Corrupt, Why Can’t Anyone Buy Him? 🇺🇦
I just realized something almost hilarious if it wasn’t very obvious and also real about the whole anti-Zelensky narrative.
For years we have been told that Zelensky is corrupt, illegitimate, a puppet, a billionaire thief, some CIA creation, whatever version happens to be useful that day. And yet somehow Putin, Trump, oligarchs, billionaires and the entire anti-Ukraine political machine still cannot control him.
Think about that contradiction.
Zelensky was elected in 2019 with about 73% of the runoff vote. Ukraine has not held another presidential election because elections are suspended under martial law during Russia’s invasion, something Zelensky has said could change if conditions allow a safe and legal vote. Meanwhile Trump, Elon and others are now openly calling for Ukraine to replace him after Zelensky refused demands to stop attacking Russian energy infrastructure and bend over to them.
And this is where their own propaganda stops making sense. If Zelensky were really as spectacularly corrupt as they claim, why wouldn’t somebody have bought him years ago?
Putin has all the money. Russian oligarchs have money. Western billionaires have money. Elon has more money than all of them. Trump has political power. There are people with enormous financial and geopolitical interests who would benefit from a Ukrainian president willing to make the right deal for them.
If Zelensky were really nothing but a corrupt opportunist, the easiest path imaginable would have been to take the money, make peace with Putin on Putin’s terms, protect himself, become insanely wealthy, powerful and live comfortably ruling the Ukraine and the area as a probably richest dictator on earth.
Instead, Russia invaded, Zelensky stayed, Ukraine kept fighting, and years later these people are still trying to pressure him, discredit him, replace him and convince everyone that he is somehow the problem.
Trump and Elon has now publicly called for Ukraine to get a new president after Zelensky resisted pressure over Ukrainian strikes on Russian refineries. Their relationship has deteriorated sharply precisely because Zelensky has continued pursuing policies Washington told him to stop.
So maybe the reason so many powerful men seem absolutely fucking obsessed with Zelensky is much simpler than all the conspiracy theories.
Maybe they hate him because they cannot break him.
Maybe they hate him because they cannot buy him.
Maybe they are simply jealous of him and his amazing courage and integrity.?
And maybe nothing drives men obsessed with power more insane than another man they cannot control.

Angelina Jolie is a brave woman with a bold and kind heart.
Often, famous people visit Lviv and Kyiv, but Angelina Jolie went to see children in Kherson.
This is literally the front line, where Russians, using drones, are conducting human safaris on civilians, deliberately killing and maiming them.
Ukraine truly has real and brave friends.

Angelina Jolie in Kherson.
This is not just a visit — it is a symbol. A symbol of attention, humanity, and genuine support. Deep gratitude to Angelina for not turning away from pain, but instead going where people continue to live, work, and love every day — despite all the trials and threats.
The people of Kherson are incredible heroes. And many of them have often said: “The main thing is that we’re not forgotten…”
Yesterday was the best possible answer: you are remembered, you are spoken about, you are heard. Even Angelina Jolie herself knows about you!
And how beautiful it is when outward beauty walks hand in hand with the beauty of the soul. 💙💛
By the way, this is not Jolie’s first trip to Ukraine. In April 2022, she already visited Lviv on a humanitarian mission.
Angelina is a UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador — a representative of an organization that stands guard over the rights and protection of children around the world.
A heartfelt thank you from all of us! 🇺🇦❤️

Many talented Ukrainian actors, artists, comedians, sportspeople, and others left their professional careers to take up arms and defend their country from Russian occupiers.
Russia's war against Ukraine has taken the lives of at least 240 Ukrainian culture makers. This is a great loss. They could have enriched Ukrainian and global culture with their talent for many more years to come.
Eternal glory and eternal memory to all who gave their lives for Ukraine.

Trump commuting Santos is not just a curiosity. It’s a feature of corruption… it’s a message… if you like me you can get away with anything. If we accept this as ok our kids will never forgive us

Meiselas: I think this is a serious oversight issue. $17 trillion is apparently missing right now, and we’re in a government shutdown. Trump keeps saying he’s got $17 trillion. Where did it go?
Garcia: If there is $17 trillion somewhere, the government doesn’t know about it. None of our committees have access to it. Treasury has no idea what the hell he’s talking about.
He’s either lying, or he’s somehow stashed away money in some magical way, which would mean even more corruption.
The media needs to get in the game here. If Trump is claiming there’s $17 trillion somewhere, why isn’t he being asked—every single minute of the day—where that money is?
This man is the most corrupt person ever to be president. He lies, he steals, he cheats. And now there’s apparently $17 trillion unaccounted for. We have to demand answers.
Meiselas: Doesn’t James Comer want to know where the $17 trillion is? That would solve everything. What else should oversight be doing if not looking into 65% of our GDP?
Garcia: Exactly. And if this keeps going, we’re going to have to investigate where the hell this $17 trillion is. No question.
