I'm leaving X because my push notifications are, for the majority, hateful - despite not being people I follow (looking at you, children's author/mouldy bigot).

So much to say about lack of representation in front and behind the camera.
Was just talking about how loads of parts written with working class voices in mind are then found through ‘street casting.’ Instead of hiring the working class actors who are grafting to stay in industry

The Tories are finished.
You can vote Green or independent without risking the Tories winning.
All you’re doing otherwise is giving Labour a colossal majority which protects them from public pressure to actually have policies which fix the country.
Tory vote share now lower than under Liz Truss in our latest VI (30 Apr - 1 May)
Con: 18% (-2 from 23-24 Apr)
Lab: 44% (-1)
Reform UK: 15% (+2)
Lib Dem: 10% (+1)
Green: 8% (+1)
SNP: 2% (-1)

Hi @Keir_Starmer. I was treated with Puberty Blockers 24 years ago by the NHS under a Labour government. I am physically and legally a woman. I have been using NHS single-sex services and accommodation all my life without issue. Why are you throwing me under the bus now?

🚨 New on @TheScotsman site: Creative Scotland crisis deepens as it reveals £47.5m black hole to meet demand for long-term funding from organisations while having to plan ahead for a “standstill” Scottish Government budget. 🚨 scotsman.com/whats-on/arts-a… @CreativeScots @culturecounts

Great piece by @ThomDibdin on the (temporary?) demise of @Page2stageE, particularly the last paragraph emphasising the importance of funding the performing arts at grass roots level.
This week I thought I'd be writing a nice wee feature on the awesome @Page2stageE for @AllEdinTheatre....
Turns out @CreativeScots got there first and pulled the plug.
So I wrote this instead:

Working in theatre is strange right now - there's less money, more competition for said money, and yet still more vibrant work forcing its way through grassroots. I've found it a rare joy to get to work with substantial talents who share a similar background to myself.
I wish I had an easy fix instead of a big speech to the ether on social media. I'm grateful for the opportunities I've had this year so far, and if you fancy supporting some of my grassroots things, here they are:
@PlayFullTheatre Scratch Night, Civic House 29th April
fienta.com/play-full-fringe-…
@frameworktc: Louder, Traverse Theatre, 3rd May
traverse.co.uk/whats-on/even…
The most important thing audiences can do in these fraught times is support local artists making grassroots work
