Best thing @cursor_ai could do right now is release Origin and help everyone move away from GitHub.
Fun fact for $TTD - their sales team ghosted us months ago and finally reached out and said sorry this week, lol
you don't have product market fit until a customer beats you up for months but buys anyway
real PMF looks like:
→ they find and complain about your bugs
→ they demand features you don't have
→ they tell you exactly what's wrong
→ they threaten to go away if you don't fix it
and yet they buy...
yes, that's friction — but it's also signal
if customers ghost you or stay silent, that's a lack of PMF. you're nice-to-have.
the companies that care enough to yell at you? those are the ones building their roadmap around you.
when someone invests energy fighting with your product instead of just switching, you've got something
the goal isn't to avoid the beating — it's to earn it
I am quite sure that SaaS people are still in denial that they are literally going to go out of business or be forced to change in a few years time
Returning from a long hiatus from X to thank @shadcn, @rauchg & @elevenlabs, we are a bootstrapped company that are completely revamping our service and software with an AI focused UI. We've managed to get to an $700k MRR with legacy tools over the last 10 years. We think we will go much further with this.
I managed to 'vibe code' this myself with no coding experience (Opus 4.1 @claudeai - you are amazing!). Have taught myself a lot in the process. Being able to communicate correctly to AI will be important.
We'll be moving over 4000+ clients to this next week. Really excited.
Thank you for building incredible products. The amount of startups that will be born + companies revamped from your tools will be ginormous.

Turns out that peak happiness as a tech entrepreneur is running a bootstrapped software company in Tulsa, OK which has a monopoly on funeral accounting software and a $20M top line, while most everyone in Silicon Valley is a fool chasing expensive dreams.
