I would love to see Rana portray Ravana because his intense negative expressions and intimidating screen presence make him a perfect fit for the character. He has the rare ability to make people genuinely fear him through nothing but his expressions.
However, I want to clarify that this is purely my personal opinion about Rana's suitability for the role of Ravana. I absolutely loved Yash's acting, and I firmly believe that Yash is born to portray the protagonist. My appreciation for Rana's potential as Ravana in no way takes away from my admiration for Yash as a protagonist. Both have their own strengths, and this is simply how I perceive them in these roles.

It may not be a great film, but when it comes to female lead casting, I genuinely think it does a much better job than Ramayana. Some people might find my opinion offensive!

Apparently, to elevate Ramayana, some so-called famous cine pages and senior journalists feel the need to put down SCENE. Seriously, since when did appreciating one movie become a competition to insult another? You can celebrate one film without mocking or trolling a movie releasing alongside it. Cinema is not a political debate where one film has to be defeated for another to win!
And then comes the statement from a Telugu producer that Telugu audiences don’t support Telugu feel-good movies but are always ready to watch good films from other languages. Interesting! Isn’t this the same producer who supported ticket price hikes while acting as a distributor for Devara? What happened to that concern for Telugu audiences and their movie watching habits back then?
The irony doesn’t end there. Even NANI’s recent movie had a ticket price hike. If this trend continues, how exactly do producers expect audiences to support medium and small budget films in theatres?
Let’s understand one simple thing: Family audiences have a budget. They plan their entertainment according to their income, expenses and priorities. Watching a movie is their choice, not an obligation. They have every right to decide which film deserves their money. And producers need to understand another reality. When a film doesn’t perform well at the box office, OTT deals and other revenue streams can help recover their investments. But instead of analysing ticket pricing, content, marketing and audience expectations, some people find it easier to blame the audience!
When audiences don’t watch, they are blamed. When they watch other-language films, they are questioned. When ticket prices increase, they are expected to adjust. So basically, the audience must pay more, watch whatever producers want and never complain. What a convenient business model!
Stop lecturing audiences about supporting Telugu cinema while making theatre-going increasingly expensive.
Respect the audience’s pocket, respect their choices, and let every movie succeed or fail on its own merit. Promoting Ramayana doesn’t require pulling down SCENE, and promoting Telugu cinema certainly doesn’t require insulting Telugu audiences!

Is AI dangerous?
Yes, obviously! Especially in India, where Reddit rumours are apparently the most reliable source of information.
Do you seriously think Lakshman is a comedy character? 🙄🙄
