I am disturbed that in the year 2026, in America, decisions about the health of children aren’t being made based on the best science, but instead based on politics.
There is a broad, almost unanimous, 99+ percent medical consensus on correct vaccinations for children. If a family or politician wants to dither with Covid due to how new it is, fine. This is, at least to some degree, understandable. But deviating from the best science, on something like measles, for political purposes, is a historically low moment for this country.
There were some real substantive issues with the Covid vaccine. Going from there to “I will never vaccinate anyone in my family or my pets“ is perhaps the best indicator of being an incredibly stupid/gullible person.
If you burn your mouth on pizza once, you don’t decide that all food is bad. Deciding to never eat pizza again is already kind of stupid, but come on people.
There is no doubt that vaccines have saved at least 150 million lives over the last 50 years. Over that period of time, using the most liberal accounting possible, maybe like 5000 people have died “because of“ vaccines.
So if you really, really want to limit the benefits of vaccines and really really talk up the dangers, For every person they kill, vaccines save the lives of 3000 people.
If you don’t want to take vaccines that were developed and deployed in a hurry in the middle of a political maelstrom and a global meltdown, I can totally understand that. But giving your kids measles and putting their lives at risk because you’re too stupid to differentiate between the good version of a thing and the bad version of a thing is just embarrassing.
Your kid should be more important than your politics.
So what is it? The Cardinals just sold at the deadline- good- and now, after a 2 run HR- they lead 6-2 in the 5th and just because there are lefties coming up they don’t want to see if McGreevy can get through at least 5 innings up 4?? How do they learn or grow?

Felt like the the @Cardinals were getting lots of support from fans clapping back but to take it a step further I wanted to chime in as somebody who played there for a long time and experienced highs and lows with the organization and fan base. Go @Cardinals

They told us Democrats would turn America into a show-your-papers society.
They told us Democrats would strip away the Second Amendment.
They told us Democrats would jail us for what we say.
They told us Democrats would drag us into more foreign wars.
They told us Democrats would cover up a child sex trafficking ring.
And then Republicans took power and decided to do all of it themselves.

If there was ever a moment for libertarians and conservatives to step up and join the rest of us, we’re in it.
Americans have to unite and stop this descent from a freedom-loving nation into the kind of place where masked, militarized government agents are sent to politically noncompliant areas to roam the streets, terrorize civilians, and deploy violence with impunity.

“You cannot cherry pick which incidents of violence you're going to condemn.. We have to condemn all political violence. Violence against one particular politician, no matter their party, makes us all less safe."

Rest assured- we will create more of this. Our media system now thrives on rage and hyperbole. If the job is to stir emotions for clicks, views and impressions- what can we realistically expect? It's going to happen on both sides and innocent people will get caught as well.

Political violence is never acceptable. I disagree with Charlie Kirk on just about everything, but in America, he has the right to speak his mind. Heartfelt condolences to his family and friends.
