——- The show opens with fireworks as the crowd rises for Athena, as she walks down the ramp with her Money In The Bank briefcase in hand! The crowd chants, “YOU DESERVE IT!” As slowly raises the mic! ——- Athena (@hcmo20): “Go ahead. Say it again! Say it louder! Because it took EVERYTHING in me to get back to THIS point! I made a promise. To myself, to my partner, to every single person in the OOMFIVERSE who watched me get stepped over, disrespected, and overlooked. Let me take y’all back real quick: It started in the Women’s Tag Team Championship Tournament last year. Me and my partner made it to the finals… only to lose to Mariah May (@blissmxxn) and Kelly Kelly (@nexttopdiva). Then they retained at SummerSlam in a Triple Threat match. Cool… that hurt… but I moved on! I evolved. I ended Mariah’s undefeated streak on RAW. Then at Payback, me and my tag partner walked into Hell in a Cell… and walked out with those tag titles wrapped around our waists. Same night? Mariah made history as the first United States Women’s Champion… and then turned her back on everyone; Kelly, Mina, her fans, & that was the birth of The Glamour Era!Meanwhile… I was doing what she never could: Winning wars that mattered. Winning without stabbing people in the back. Then came SmackDown, different brand… same energy… Mariah became the Undisputed Women’s Champion at WrestleMania, and how did she celebrate? She had her little Bratz pack; Cora (@L0VEP0Tl0NS) and Ashley (@mellasfave) attack and take out my tag partner. They made sure I’d be alone! So, I promised myself, backstage, bruised and boiling… I said, ‘Athena… you’re going to end this, but then… Backlash in France. One-on-one, and she finally beat me, and from that night on? I spiraled. I lost the Mei Yang Classic. My tag partner left. I didn’t know where I belonged. I wasn’t even sure if I could still hang, but then came Money in the Bank, and I climbed that ladder, reached into the sky, and pulled down my salvation! I made history as the first Black oomfie star to win MITB on the main roster, and now? I know EXACTLY what comes next. I took Mariah’s tag titles before. Now I’m going to take the Undisputed Women’s Championship, too. I am going to take EVERYTHING she loves away from her. Kelly Kelly failed at doing so, but sweetie… I am FAR different than that blonde.”
