A labour of love. I hope you enjoy reading this as much as I enjoyed writing it. I read, watched, listened widely just so I could articulate some of the things I’ve been pondering for months! ❤️

I don't particularly want a perfect life; I want one with texture, history, strange little rituals, and stories worth telling. Preferably with a garden that has gotten somewhat out of hand.

Machines are tools, not persons. Today, some propose granting these systems rights, or even legal personhood. Such an approach risks obscuring human responsibility and leaving those who suffer harm to confront a faceless entity.

I think sharing your nerdy hobbies with the world, critiquing movies, books, art, and music when nobody asked for your opinion, and expressing yourself through the things you enjoy doing is so very important

Like a pig fattened for slaughter, you are being conditioned for a life of despair. Owe no one, be selfish, embrace hedonism, dismantle family, worship money, adopt fatalism. The only way this ends is perpetual sadness. Then you get drugs whose side effect is suicidal ideation

On balancing her public and private selves, Toni Morrison said, “I just do the obvious, which is to keep my life as private as possible; not because it is all that interesting, it’s just important that it be private. And then, whatever I do that is public can be done seriously.”

Translation:
"About this time lived Jesus, a wise man, if one ought to call him a man. He did surprising deeds, taught those accepting truth gladly, and won many Jews and Greeks. He was the Christ. Pilate crucified him on charges from our leaders; his first lovers did not stop. He appeared to them alive on the third day, as divine prophets foretold these and myriad wonders about him. The Christian tribe named from him has not vanished to this day."
