Yes, because the design and creative industries are bigger than the “I let AI do everything now” bubble.

I think its OK if you're a Nepo Baby and use the money and access to do genuinely cool stuff, like start a stop-motion animation company.

It’s all good and well to automate brand guideline creation, but you’re missing out on making that document be the star of the design work and expressing that with a fully bespoke design. Not everything needs to be optimised until nothing original remains.

60%-70% of the internet runs on PHP, and its amazing there's a generation of tech folks going "Never heard of it, what is it?"

This is the official cover

Odd question, is this the cover, or is the yellow version on Image's website the cover? Can't find what's official.

Needs to be repeated. (Not to mention: if a smaller publisher can't make ends meet because of disproportionate pirating vs sales, you as a reader lose out on the comics you love.)
Just seen the piracy convo is back around. And I won't rehash; but I do feel the need to point out, I've seen a few versions of what's being said below. And this is NOT how creators are paid. Creators in comics, especially creator owned comics absolutely get paid by the sale...

With every startup tech identity starting to look the same because of AI-driven design, the flex will be to show how the logo and identity was created 'for real' in a studio, by people building physical props, painting, printing etc…

Seeing a lot of AI design work where my first reaction is either “they didn’t need AI to do that” or “that’s been done before, and better”.

I do agree with this. Having to figure out something yourself will give you much more in return rather than just shorcutting your way through the work without understanding the why and how.
feels relevant right now, so here is a clip of myself and @domesticetch discussing the art of gatekeeping, and why having less resources can be more critical to developing your own creative style shoutout to @EdSunspot too
