A politician never seems more honest than when they are doing something they know will actively harm their career.

The fact that the CATO institute removed 9/11 as an outlier event, but kept the Oklahoma city bombing which killed 168 people, nearly 50% of the "right-wing" portion of the chart tells me everything I need to know about what results they were aiming for from the jump

a woman having an emotional affair with another man is actually way worse than a man sleeping with another woman

I'll believe Twitter is a right wing platform when takes like this stop getting 150K likes.

Jimmy Kimmel seems like an idiot with BlueSky brain, but let's not forget that Fox News lied so egregiously about how the election was stolen that they had to pay nearly a billion dollars over it... and the Biden admin never threatened Fox with removing their broadcast license.

>People STILL blaming video games for violence in 2025
Whether Tyler Robinson faces a firing squad in Utah for the murder of Charlie Kirk, my guess is the accused killer will probably have been motivated more by Halo and similar fantasy role-play than by substantive political discord. The game features Grunts vs Elites. I’m guessing nobody wants to be an elite.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Grunts (Unn'goy) serve under the Elites (Sangheli) as a part of a fictional alien interspecies alliance called the Covenant in the Halo franchise. Also, studies have exonerated video games for decades from the false claim that they make children violent. halopedia.org/Covenant psychologytoday.com/us/blog/video-…

Who do progressives think this "Mom, they started it!!" stuff is appealing to? Who is Mom? No benevolent authority is going to come punish conservatives for cracking down on free speech using techniques pioneered by progressives in the 2010s.
Replying to @Noahpinion
I take issue with you framing this as progressives starting it. Cancel culture's been a thing since way before our modern scene. Do we not remember the religious right of the 90's and even earlier, the Satanic Panic?

This has been the clear trajectory. They're not just going after the people who celebrated the murder -- they're going after people who criticized Kirk at all since his death. It's the wokest shit imaginable.
Notably, many of the entries on the "Charlie Kirk's Murderers" database are people saying things like "I don't think he should have been shot but he wasn't a good person and we should give equal attention to other victims." For this, they try to get you fired!

Great example of the comments that right wingers are now trying to get people fired over. Not comments that celebrate Kirk's death - the tweet literally says "He never should have been shot" - but comments that are critical of Kirk and say he shouldn't be nationally honored.

This app allows the public to witness unfiltered schizophrenia.
Remember: she was murdered for existing while white, and 100% of the left thinks it was good and it should happen more. If you ever meet anyone on the left, they want this to happen millions more times. All of them.

The brain damage you have to have in order to not understand the difference between celebrating the assassination of an innocent man for saying things you don't like & wanting justice for that assassination

The reason the left is failing so hard in this moment at keeping their opinions to themselves is that leftist communication is designed to root out heretics They will say offensive things that are progressive approved and look around for anyone who hesitates They have been trained for their entire lives to be maximally abrasive and they're not even consciously aware of it

This is the bubble bursting.
There are extreme factions on the far left and far right that both advocate for, or are fine with political violence. The far right seems to be aware that their extreme views are not accepted by the mainstream. The far left however exists in a bubble where they seem to have no clue what they're saying is batshit insane and evil. The mainstream allowing people to cheer on murderers like Luigi Mangione should have been the wake up call, but it was not.

People who hate free speech so much they celebrate the assassination of someone for speaking are shocked when a much lower consequence is applied to their own lives. Based on their own standards, they got off easy
Following the death of conservative activist Charlie Kirk this week, educators across the country have found themselves facing swift termination or potential discipline after sharing opinions on social media about the killing. nbcnews.com/news/us-news/cha…

There needs to be a non-stop push from everyone, especially large accounts, to demand answers from @nytimes @Bernstein @cnn @politico @adamwren @thehill @filip_timotija and anyone or any other outlet on WHY THE FUCK THEY KEEP PLATFORMING AN EXTREMIST LIKE HASAN PIKER WHO HAS REGULARLY CALLED FOR VIOLENCE AND SUPPORTS VIOLENT TERRORIST GROUPS! This cannot continue. Nothing will change until these organizations are held accountable and forced to tell the truth about the radicals on the far left like Hasan. @FoxNews @realDonaldTrump @elonmusk Anyone and everyone. Do not let them slink away in silence. WTF are they doing!? Tag everyone and demand answers.

Maybe now the right will standup up to Trump and pressure him into stopping his protection of China's radicalization engine for young Americans.
Following Charlie’s assassination, this TikToker encouraged others to kill his wife as well, saying: “Someone needs to get the wife too. Fvck her.” Yet TikTok seems to have no issue with videos openly inciting violence.
