🚨🚨HEARTWARMING UPDATE🚨🚨
Former #NFL defensive end Devon Still broke down in tears after seeing his daughter Leah working her FIRST JOB at Chick-fil-A this week.
Leah was diagnosed with cancer as a young child and underwent chemotherapy. During her treatments, she rarely wanted to eat anything unless it was Chick-fil-A.
Now, 12 years later, Leah is cancer-free and has started her first job at the very restaurant that helped her get through those difficult days.
Devon shared that he pulled up to pick her up from work and saw her helping a customer. He immediately became emotional.
“Now I’m sitting in the car with tears pouring down my face.”
Still also revealed that doctors once told him how far Leah’s cancer had spread, and he began accepting the possibility that she might not survive.
“To go from that to this, I can’t explain what I’m feeling. Just know I’m grateful.”
Leah still orders the exact same Chick-fil-A meal she loved during chemotherapy.
THIS IS WHAT LIFE IS ALL ABOUT.

For many of us, the dream of exploring the galaxy had your voice. You showed us how to lead among the stars: with curiosity, diplomacy, empathy, and an unshakable belief in what we could become.
You spent your life telling us the future could be kinder, wiser and braver than the present. We believed you. We still do.
Rest in peace, Sir Patrick Stewart.

I moved away from Milwaukee when I was 6-years old, but 30-years later I still eagerly tell people it’s where I’m from. My family moved to a small town right in the center of Illinois called Mahomet that was divided evenly between Cardinals and Cubs fans - a split that did not apply to football where Bears fandom dominated. My brothers and I proudly upset all of them wearing Brewers and Packers gear as much as humanly possible. Maybe it would have been easier to make friends by assimilating my fandom, but I didn’t want to be like them, I wanted to be from Milwaukee. I have my father to thank for that.
An altogether composed man by his nature, sports was the one thing that would consistently get him animated. I suppose us boys subconsciously picked up on that because it became our whole childhood. There’s very few memories that stick with me that don’t involve playing or watching baseball, football, basketball, soccer, golf, or tennis - we’d go from one to the other. When my dad could, he’d coach and if he wasn’t coaching you’d hear him (and even more so my mom) from the stands. He loved sports trivia and would bring packs of cards to give away to whichever kids got questions right after practice. I would get upset when he told me I couldn’t answer any more after I got one right, but deep down I knew he was delighted to have to cut me off.
My dad didn’t care whether we won or lost, whether I played well or didn’t, only that I played the game the right way. I still remember him deriding me at home for gloating about my pitching performance in fourth grade. “That’s not how you act no matter how you played.” I understood from then on reflexively that you played for the spirit of competition, not your desired result.
As I grew older and my aspirations didn’t match my work ethic, I became disenchanted with the game. Jaded that it didn’t give me all the things I wanted from it. From 2012-2025 I can count on my hands the amount of Brewers games I watched after consuming 100+ games a season during my teenage years. I would tell others it’s because I wanted a break after football season, but my childhood self knew it was because I had never envisioned myself on this side of the television.
That is, until I had my son in May. The most beautiful blank slate to imbue the lessons I have learned from a lifetime of messing up. When I looked back on my childhood contemplating which experiences I wanted to give to him, baseball kept coming up. Playing home run derby with tennis balls in a grade school playground across from my grandmas. Hitting my first home run with a Rawlings Mac 25 bat. Throwing my first curveball. Watching Scott Podsednik drive in Craig Counsell at 1:30am in a 17-inning 1-0 snoozefest. The game I thought only gave me heartbreak actually had given me so much more. It connected me to my dad. It connected me to my hometown. It taught me life lessons I didn’t even know I was learning. All the things I hope to give to my son. He won’t remember any of the 40 or so games we watched this year - or slept through in his case - but I’ll never forget them.
There are more days than I care to admit where I question whether what I do means anything. Whether I’d have been better off putting my math skills to use as an engineer or actuary. Then I think back to myself as a little kid who always felt most like himself on a baseball diamond or football field or basketball court and I remember the power for good sports can be in the lives of many. I pray I never lose sight of that.
Thank you, dad. And thank you, Milwaukee. You both deserved this.

I'll take Pat McAfee that a University of Utah student calling him 'corny' made him honestly feel uncomfortable.
I would politely ask him to consider how Mississippi student Mary Kate Cornett felt when he used his show to amplify a false rumor about an 18-year-old's sex life.

Never been a Notre Dame apologist.
But…
They play 10 P4 opponents, more than some can say.
They play no FCS opponents.
Wisconsin is better than you think.
SMU is ranked.
North Carolina may not be a train wreck.
Who knew Michigan State would have a coaching change?
Notre Dame is doing what they should against inferior competition. Let’s see how the schedule looks in the rear view.

I am no Irish homer, but the team Notre Dame beat by 28 is a 2.5 point underdog AWAY to the number 12 team in the country btw.

I can't believe I have to defend Notre Dame, but this is a crock of shit. Last year Ole Miss played 2 good teams: OU and UGA, and split those games. They were clearly still a good team and playoff worthy, but no one said anything because the cupcakes they were blowing out had SEC logos on their jerseys. How is ND playing BYU and UM any different?
Letoto retweeted
Nobody in america had a tougher start to the season last year than ND with @miami and then A&M. One off year in scheduling and Kirk and his dog sidekick throw a hissy fit.
Meanwhile, Miami, who is in a p4 conference only has one challenging game all year, at Notre Dame, where's that complaint????
Hmmmmm.

UCLA QB Nico Iamaleava
Unfortunately, Nico Iamaleava is out for the season after suffering a left knee injury.
Video shows significant valgus force to the knee, raising major concern for an ACL and possible MCL injury +/- meniscus involvement.
Timeline depends on severity: ACL tears can take~6–12 months or longer before return to sport.
By all means. Go ahead.

How convenient that you’ve just tucked away how yall disrespected our 11 wins, our ranking, having to play us in a bowl game, being compared to us to get into (or not get into) the playoffs…
We’ll be glad to share the receipts.
Burn it all down.
We are aware of the recently filed lawsuit regarding 2024 sexual violence allegations. Our statement: statements.cornell.edu/2026/…
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
While Cornell claims to take sexual violence claims "extremely seriously" they offered the accused the chance to simply write essays to mitigate disciplinary actions.

Be smart. Dont take anything that isn’t prescription. No Xanax, obviously no drugs. This is really scary. Please get this out there.
🚨BREAKING- PARENTS, READ THIS!🚨
Allegedly, Ole Miss is searching for more kids who didn't show up to class today.
Reports are that there are student Overdose deaths at Clemson, LSU, Alabama, USouthCarolina and Ole Miss.
This was just sent to all @IFC at UGA:
🚨🚨🚨🚨As I am sure you guys are starting to hear, this weekend in Oxford there were 7 deaths from overdoses at least 5 of which were fraternity men. These deaths came from cyclorphine an opioid that is stronger then fentanyl that was disguised as a Xanax and potentially also cocaine. I reached out to all of your chapter presidents but as we know to combat this we need leaders of all ages to be on the same page, strongly encourage your chapters against drug use. It is evident this new mixer has hit the SEC. With a big weekend ahead it is critical you all are proactive with your chapters regarding this issue, so getting in front of guys you know may partake in these risks is encouraged.
