I ran Muse Wonder through the DataBench, the galaxy's leading analytics benchmarkâ„¢! It's the first model we've tested from outside OpenAI and Anthropic (sry google...) that actually competes with them: 45% at its best, just ahead of GPT-5.6. gj meta!

Ran four @hexanalytics searches live in a call yesterday, sending data nearly instantly while we're discussing something is wildly powerful. So glad our data team set us up with Hex. (This is a Hex fan account now.)

The @hexanalytics agent is divine. Crazy leverage compared to the old world of hand rolling SQL. Bravo to the team.

building beautiful data apps just got easier in @hexanalytics 💜 GenApps now have: - text editing, plus quickly jump to where text is defined - element selection for targeted formatting tweaks - generative chart controls - no need to wait for an agent to make quick chart updates and because it's all just code, you can build... well anything! try it out and let us know what you think!

I wrote a quick note about my current perspective on semantic layer and data modeling in AI analytics as we continue to ramp up with @hexanalytics , our inhouse data agent and @databricks at @airwallex - my hot take is we don't really need a traditional sense of semantic layer in the future xitter.cf/TimWongHQ/status/20954…

today in @_hex_tech we’re launching Generative Chart Controls! now you have the best of all words: - fully code generated dashboards for full flexibility to build… anything! - data governance, secure hosting and super simple sharing - AND NOW(!) all the precision for last mile edits, just like any tradition dashboarding tool Try it now and let us know what you think!

I was able to get order data from @senorsisig from our AI research conference last week. Thanks to Claude PDF OCR for tabulation and @_hex_tech for charts I present to you: Burrito Bar Charts

BI as an industry has become defined by its ever-changing requirements. But what does it mean today? I wrote a little about how we see this at Hex.

"It's only 'Forward Deployed' if it's from the Palantiré region of France. Otherwise it's just sparkling Sales Engineering." @barrald, CEO @_hex_tech and early @PalantirTech, reveals how a clear tell is who dictates your roadmap. If it's coming from a conference room in SF, from PMs who rarely see customers and engineers who never do, you can call them forward deployed engineers. You're just not doing forward deployed engineering.

Introducing DataBench, a new frontier benchmark for complex data work and analytical reasoning. Compared to other analytics benchmarks, DataBench uniquely evaluates realistic data tasks derived from real Hex usage instead of "pub trivia" style Q&A. It's designed to evaluate analytical reasoning and judgment, not just coding ability— and we see really interesting test-time-compute curves as a result. More details and link to results in thread!

we just released Evals in the @_hex_tech platform, based on everything we've learned from the last 2 years building out our own internal eval tools: - LLM-as-a-judge rubrics that allow for nuanced grading - model sweeps, so you actually can test new models coming out - everything is code defined, so using an agent for setup is a breeze and you can track changes in git you can't have a true knowledge base agent without a way to test it.

thank you @_hex_tech for sending me to the 2026 agentic ai summit! honored to present our cracked research team’s work on realistic data analytics evals. special shoutout to @isidoremiller for letting me co-opt his slides, and for helping me iterate on the talk! ft. a podium that shows off how short I am – at Berkeley, CA

Parallel Web Systems
@p0Jul 30
Customer Watch uses the Pi agent harness with @_hex_tech, @attio, and Parallel's Task & Monitor APIs. It proactively monitors our customer accounts both internally on usage and externally across the web, surfacing the most important changes in activity relating to the health, opportunities, and risks of each company building with Parallel.

Interfaces and UX deeply matter. Extending this to analytics and data, a single model can power multiple tools. Working in data, I could get by with Claude Code but tools like @_hex_tech, and its interface, makes data analysis more accessible to non-data teams
I’m not sure codex can serve developers and my mom with the SAME interface. Developer interfaces are notoriously known to non-tech people as overwhelming(how many non-tech folks use JIRA?). Can codex be simplified enough for average white collars and frontier enough for principle dev? Tell me what you think.

We did a bunch of validation work on Kimi-K2.7-Code in our harness against our evals and it did around opus 4.7 level while being 2.2x cheaper per-task, on average. hex.tech/blog/kimi-in-hex/

Damn these @_hex_tech charts are slick 💅
Replying to @barrnanas
2/ Image generation was the breakout modality. Text still dominates, but the production mix is getting more multimodal. 36% are building with image gen and happy with it -- double last year’s 18%. After Nano Banana, ChatGPT Images, etc., the image wave showed up in the data.

"today i'm going to try and convince you that as an industry, we basically have no idea what the f**k we're doing when it comes to evaluating agents on analytics." This is my talk from AI Council "Welcome to our data benchmark, where everything's made up and the points don't matter". It isn't about Hex at all, but rather about the challenges facing the entire data industry as we struggle to evaluate and benchmark agents on the things that actually matter, not silly pub trivia Q&A. It's pretty honest, practical and tangible and I propose some exciting experimental directions for the next gen of benchmarks here. I'm actively working in this domain so really interested to hear what people think!

fun example: get proactive root cause analyses delivered directly to your team's slack channel no more excuses for not knowing when a metric tanks!
every am everything I need to know is sent via DM to me. a metric dips, a feature usage spikes, an critical deal update? nicely summarized & I can just ask follow ups directly from slack this is a pms dream 🫶 introducing Agent Tasks in @_hex_tech
