Why are they just lying? Assume the account is ran by Newcastle fans, but even then you'd think they just couldn't be bothered. #SAFC
The official attendance figures from Sunderland's game last night have come in at 7,984 - which includes the travelling away Brentford fans...
To put this figure into perspective, and to get ahead of the 'it's a cup game' comments, their northern co-part Newcastle are set to bring 8,000 fans down the country tonight to Everton to watch their team play in the same round of the exact same cup..
For a club that gets a lot of stick for their poor fanbase over the past few years, they really do absolutely nothing to help themselves... 🤦🏼♂️
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The official attendance for Sunderland vs Brentford was 24,305, not the 7,984 claimed in the post and graphic.

My first visit to Hexham . Sadly a Poor game on a heavy pitch with both sides creating a few chances each but a draw a fair result .
