About that PET scan I did on Monday: it came back looking bad, lots of activity, new lesions and growth 😩 My oncologist decided that it would be best to do a new biopsy of a lymph node to get an updated picture of my cancer. With that info we can decide what to do next 👍🏼 – at Hamilton, Ontario
I might be experiencing the effects of the CAR-T therapy still, the lesions could actually be clusters of T-cells. I may also have a different cancer that spawned the B-cell lymphoma. My cancer may have evolved and shed its CD19 surface proteins rendering CAR-T ineffective – at Hamilton, Ontario
Getting a PET/CT bright and early in Buffalo on Monday morning. This will let the doctors see if my lesions and tumors have grown/shrunk/disappeared and how metabolically active they are 🤞🏼 #dlbcl #cart #immunotherapy

Immunotherapy update:
It’s been a rough ride. I had GDP chemo (a strong one) on Jan 17th. It took until yesterday for my bone marrow to become active enough that my team was comfortable admitting me for treatment. My body is getting tired, it’s not recovering like it once did.
I’ll be admitted tomorrow (Feb 8) and begin 3 days of conditioning chemo followed by two days of rest. Then it’s day zero, I will receive my CAR-T cells and hope for the best 🙏🏼
I haven’t been able to do much, but I look forward to exploring Buffalo as soon as I’m able. @RoswellPark continues to provide a fantastic level of care and support. To my friends, family, coworkers and community: thank you for your continued support and generosity ❤️

Frig, having some hardcore mialgia after this last round of GDP salvage chemo. Basically it’s inescapable extreme muscle pain/ache. It will go away on its own over the next few days, but it’s intense 🙏🏼 Worth it though!
