Be selective and use the filesystem attributes like: sudo xattr -r -d com.apple.quarantine <path> I do this only for trusted downloads e.g. verified JVM/JDK.

Pro tip for all @ASFMavenProject victims: Found a final solution for the broken crap maven-dependency-plugin which drove me nuts and replaced it by the ‚Go Offline Maven Plugin‘ which works like a charm. github.com/qaware/go-offline…
