I guess upgrading to the newest iPhone every year has come to an end. For a VERY long time I have used the @apple Upgrade Program. It was great, included AppleCare and was so easy to do.
Now they have moved away from that and went to leasing through @Klarna. The lease program now seems more expensive as you have to tack on Apple care to the lease payment. Seems more expensive.
But the deal killer for me is that Klarna doesn't accept a big portion of credit card providers. All my cards are in this list. I am not getting a new credit card so I can have a marginal upgrade to iPhone 18 just for the camera.
Is this a ploy to get people to open an Apple Card?
I think I am going to sit this one out Apple.

This is amazing news. Because of the token limitations and cost, planning and code reviews have been my best use case for Fable. I am pumped to continue to be able to do this.
Beginning July 20, Claude Fable 5 will be included in all Max and Team Premium plans, at 50% of limits.
Pro and Team Standard users will continue to have access to Fable via usage credits, and will receive a one-time $100 credit.
Demand for Fable has been challenging to predict, which is why we rolled it out to subscription plans in stages, extending access several times as we secured additional capacity.

Ok, all done. We had Claude run a 5-agent review of a production codebase, then auto-write 6 implementation plans. ~53 min, burned 2 full Pro 5 hr block sessions. What did we get?
-Critical production bug fixes + security hardening
-Observability foundation (alerts, metrics, log retention, backups)
-Frontend asset monitoring & error tracking
-Versioning framework for independently-deployed client assets
-Third-party API migration (provider abstraction + graceful fallback)
-Backend refactors (request kit, dedup, code splitting, pagination)
~570KB of task-by-task specs with full code, written so a different model can execute them cold.
Interesting context, why so many failures on writing plans? With it being so expensive, that definitely needs to get tightened up.
Granted, I got a message it was burning usage tokens so I stopped it. That might explain the last line of stopped tasks.
