KYC = Kill Your Customer
It has not even been a day since Revoluts fuck up and Felix Romer (Owner of Gamdom) has already been robbed by 2 black masked individuals
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The video is from a 2025 home invasion of @ShadurX, not Felix Römer. No reports confirm Römer was robbed after the Revolut data leak of his KYC info via fake government requests. x.com/shadurx/status… techcrunch.com/2026/09/12/rev… reuters.com/legal/litigati…

BREAKING: OpenAI might have stolen another major proof. In a detailed Mastodon post, which I report in full in the comments, Andreas Thom presents several pieces of evidence suggesting that OpenAI may have trained Astra on conversations in which he and Gábor Kun were working on Gromov’s soficity conjecture, one of the ten problems OpenAI later announced Astra had solved. I know Andreas. We met several times early in our careers. He is an exceptional mathematician, a leading expert on sofic and hyperlinear groups, and one of the most respected scholars in the field. He has spent two decades working on this problem. If his account is correct, this is not a minor dispute over attribution. It would mean that unpublished human work was absorbed into a model and then presented to the world as a breakthrough by the model itself. And if the allegations raised by Levent Alpöge, Tristan Buckmaster, and now Andreas Thom are all substantiated, we are no longer looking at isolated incidents. We may be looking at one of the greatest intellectual scandals in the history of science. AI is not discovering new mathematics. AI is stealing human discovery.

C/C++ are unironically safer than Rust, when it comes to supply chain attacks. Mainly because build system in C/C++ sucks, horribly. So everyone vendors their dependencies
‼️Two popular Rust crates, arrayref and append-only-vec, were compromised in a supply chain attack. arrayref alone has 244M downloads. The malware ran at build time, which means anyone who compiled a project that pulled one in was hit, without ever calling the crate. Here's the breakdown 🧵

🚨 BREAKING: More than 400 Arch Linux User Repository packages have been compromised with infostealer malware and a rootkit. Attacker posed as a trusted maintainer and "adopted" orphaned packages. Arch maintainers are purging infected packages now. Audit your AUR installs.

To me, the worst thing to happen in tech in the last decade is still, by far, Microsoft taking ownership of github
