I heard a scholar say that a married man or woman who commits adultery must be stoned to death. When challenged that this punishment is not in the Quran, he defended it by saying it is in the hadith.
Seriously?
First, when did hadith become more authoritative than the Quran? How can we justify taking a human life with a punishment Allah does not explicitly prescribe in His Book?
Second, what kind of God are we portraying?
Islam teaches compassion towards animals, yet we defend burying a human being and stoning them to death.
I refuse to believe that defending Allah requires me to defend cruelty in His name.
Allah is not a monster. But when we attribute brutal punishments to Him without question, we make Him look like one.
As terrible as it may sound “train your parents” truly one needs to educate adults not just our parents about some topics.
Pls note, I do not support some menace in the present today we are but the world has moved past not knowing when to stop or harassing people’s children.
