“that’s good. i’m glad you’ve found people to help you,” liv says genuinely, leaning over the table to press a kiss to lottie’s lips. then she’s leaning back, taking a sip from her coffee. “i promise i’ll make today so good for you.”
“well, i’m proud of you for it,” liv says, smiling softly. “i’m sorry i couldn’t visit much. schools been kicking my ass.” between that and work, she was spent. eyebrows raise. “yeah? how’s that been?”
“perfect,” liv says, just excited to spend the day with lottie. when the barista sets their stuff on the counter she grabs them, moving to sit at one of the tables. “so, what’ve you been up to?”
“oooh, same,” liv says, stepping forward in the line. she orders for both of them, paying with her card before stepping aside to wait. “i was thinking, should we check out the pumpkin patch after the bookstore?”
liv can’t help but smile. “i love you too.” she climbs out of the car, meeting lottie on the other side before heading inside. she takes her hand again, getting in line. “think i’m gonna get one of the muffins too. they look so good.”
liv squeezes lottie’s hand, giving her a soft smile. “i know. i missed you too,” she says, kissing her hand before settling them back into her lap. before long she’s driving up at the coffee shop, her hand let go so she can turn the car off.
“i know, baby,” liv says with a soft frown, wishing she could do more to help lottie feel better. “i’m just glad that you’re feeling good enough to do something today.”
liv starts the car, one hand on the wheel while the other rests in lottie’s lap. she intertwines their fingers again, backing out of the driveway. “i’m really glad we’re doing this. we haven’t had an us day in so long.”
“me too, babe,” liv says with a soft smile, fingers placing with lottie’s again and she follows her out to the car. liv pulls out her keys, letting her hand go so she can open the car door for her.
eyes brighten a little and liv nods her head. “yeah! we can do that,” she says, pressing another kiss to her cheek before letting her go. “i just gotta get dressed real quick.”
liv pulls lottie towards the couch, sitting down and pulling the other into her lap. arms wrap around her waist and she nuzzles her face into her girlfriends neck. “god, i’m glad you’re here.”
liv’s arms wrap snuggly around lottie and she presses soft kisses to her face. “i missed you too. so, so much,” she says, holding her close for a minute before pulling back. “come in, it’s chilly out there,” she says, closing the door behind her.
liv was resting on the couch, catching up on her show when she hears the knock. she slides from the couch, smile wide when she opens the door and sees lottie. “hi, pretty girl,” she says, arms opening for her.
lottie headed over to @hookedlegacy house, putting her bike outside the door on the porch. she knocked on the door and waited, rocking slightly on her heels as she waited for her girlfriend to open the door.
