The sheer offensiveness of this one-sided emotional blackmail is staggering. @60Minutes wants Americans to focus on the people who might be deported while ignoring the victims of crimes linked to illegal immigration and the families left to live with the consequences.
And spare us the argument that American citizens commit crimes, too. Of course they do. That doesn't absolve government of its responsibility to enforce the law and protect the public.
Talk to the tens of thousands, potentially hundreds of thousands, of victims of crimes beyond murder and rape. Their suffering doesn't disappear because it complicates your narrative.
And here's the question: Are you or @CBS willing to accept this damage, even on a small scale, as the price of your preferred immigration policies? Would you accept it if the victim were your child, your spouse, your parent, your friend?
Katie was my daughter. Don't tell me whose suffering Americans should accept, whose safety should be sacrificed, or whose life matters less to advance your narrative. The victims belong in this story, too.

NYC is handing out up to $100,000 in taxpayer money to first-time homebuyers through HomeFirst, a 0% “forgivable” loan and they won’t even ask about immigration status.
So people who don’t speak English and have never paid into the system can walk away with tens of thousands to buy a home, while native New Yorkers get priced out and flee the city they actually paid for.
It’s a straight transfer from the people who built and sustain this place to whoever shows up and fills out the form.

Friends, I could really use some help.
A large group of Amish builders from Ohio are spending the next FIVE MONTHS fixing homes damaged by Hurricane Helene for FREE in Western North Carolina and South Carolina.
There's just one problem... the Amish don't drive, so they need drivers to take them back and forth to job sites and drop off trailers (if you have a truck).
I have already volunteered to help, but we need more volunteers.
