getting ready had become an oddly serious affair by then. one could spend far too long deciding whether everything was finally in place. fortunately, the mirror offered no objections, so i took that as permission to leave the deliberation behind.
i entered the expanded prada paragon boutique that august evening, absorbing its pastel hues, chequered marble and private suites while exchanging greetings with guests ‘nd immersing myself in the refined vibe as a prada ambassador amid the 300 attendees.
the walk was ordinary enough, yet the cam gave it a more deliberate character. “and so it begins,” i remember thinking as i looked back with a smile. for once, i didn’t need to manufacture a scene because the occasion had already provided #1 ☻
