In the bluest state in the country, in the bluest tsunami you can imagine, Phil Scott still won. By being a pro-growth moderate. Aided by Democrats picking a candidate who is an anti-growth radical.
I am BEGGING both parties to learn from this!
This was so predicable.
Trade: The #Ravens are finalizing a trade for former #AZCardinals QB Jacoby Brissett, per me and @AdamSchefter, filling the void left by the injuries to Lamar Jackson and Tyler “Snoop” Huntley.
The deal is expected to be completed this weekend.
We need him.
🚨 WOW. Gov. Ron DeSantis is GOING OFF right now post-blue tsunami:
"I see the ad, 'so and so voted against releasing the Epstein Files.' I'm like, that's a bad vote. We ran as Republicans saying we need to do that. And you have people in Congress voting against release when the Attorney General said she had all the all this horrific stuff on her desk and that people are gonna be held accountable?!"
"It's untenable when you have people going in trading stocks! I've never traded stocks since I've been in elected office. How do you have no investment acumen, and then all of a sudden get elected to Congress, and then you're outperforming Warren Buffett?"
"I saw how they were running and it was a rejection of what was going on in DC."
I am SO thankful Florida held the line. We avoided some of the MOST horrendous US House wipeouts (still losing some) and our statewide remained red. The legislature is still red
2028 is our only next chance to make a dent in this.

Watch this space. DeSantis has positioned himself very well to emerge as a right-wing critic, who never aligned himself with the administration, to succeed MAGA from the anti-corruption, anti-war flank.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis:
Some of these Republicans are saying, "Oh, well, the gas, don't worry. It's no big deal." Or they're trying to blame Biden.
No, no. Listen, we've just got to be honest. Gas is higher. It hurts people, working-class people, and it's higher because of the Iran conflict.
That's just the fact. If you can't admit that to voters, then you're gaslighting them, and they're not going to listen to you on other things.

He’s gonna be (even more) fun to watch now.

Her family were persecuted Mongolian immigrants, and as a young girl she spoke out against oppression by the Chinese Communist Party. What you're seeing here is not tribal wars, it's the result of brainwashing in American schools.

Today's win extended the @Patriots streak to three straight wins against the Dolphins following their series sweep of Miami last season, their 11th between the division rivals.
New England now holds a 3-0 record against AFC East opponents after a 29-26 win at Buffalo on Oct. 4 and a 26-19 win vs. the New York Jets on Oct. 18. In 2025, the Patriots started the year with a 3-0 record in the division.

Name one? How about a few?
Rockefeller lowered the cost of kerosene through efficient refining and distribution.
Ford made automobiles affordable through mass production.
Carnegie reduced steel production costs through industrial innovation.
Walton lowered retail prices through bulk purchasing and efficient logistics.
Dell made computers cheaper by eliminating retail intermediaries.
Kamprad made furniture affordable through flat-pack manufacturing and distribution.
Bezos intensified retail competition through Amazon.
Koum made international messaging practically free through WhatsApp.
Page and Brin made search, navigation, email, and translation available without direct charges.
And that's barely scratching the surface.
In fact, it would be considerably more challenging to find a billionaire who earned their fortune through voluntary trade without lowering costs, improving quality, increasing productivity, or making something more accessible.
That's how fortunes are generally made in competitive markets. You create value for others, and the more people you serve, the greater your potential reward.
You don't even have to buy from these businesses to benefit. Their competitors must improve their offerings or risk losing customers.
These clout chasers destroy their credibility daily without so much as flinching.
They enjoy the accumulated benefits of capitalist innovation while confidently demanding evidence that any of it ever happened.
The economic illiteracy would be impressive if it weren't so commonplace.
WooHoo! Great news.
NEWS: UConn's Dan Hurley has received a two-year contract extension through the 2031-32 season, according to multiple sources.
The deal keeps Hurley among the highest paid coaches in the country.

Made the mistake of checking my brokerage account. Ok, that is no bueno. Do not want. This is the real black Friday. At least there is plenty of whiskey and beer.
Sad news. Lost one of the greats of the acting (and voice acting) world. Brought so much joy to so many. RIP Sir Patrick.
