🚀 Introducing Node Delegate Staking for Hypertensor Subnet Nodes! 🚀
We're excited to announce that Node Delegate Staking is coming to Hypertensor, bringing a powerful new way to support subnet nodes and enhance decentralization!
Previously, users could only delegate stake to subnets, but now they can also delegate directly to individual subnet nodes, providing more precise support and control.
🔹 What is Node Delegate Staking?
This new feature allows users to delegate stake to subnet nodes, helping secure the network while earning rewards—without the need to run a node themselves.
🔹 Why is This Important?
✅ Stronger Incentives – Subnet nodes receive more support, encouraging high-performance participation.
✅ Greater Accessibility – Anyone can participate in securing subnets without technical barriers.
✅ Enhanced Decentralization – More distributed stake means a stronger, more resilient network.
✅ Optimized Resource Allocation – Delegators help ensure the most reliable nodes receive support.
This marks a major step toward making Hypertensor's decentralized AI infrastructure more robust, efficient, and inclusive.
Many more updates are coming!
Fully decentralized and fault-tolerant integration of @deepseek_ai R1 is in progress right now into the DSN standard
🥳DSN Model Update:
Hypertensor's fault-tolerant DSN-1 (decentralized subnet 1) has been updated to include data on Hypertensor!
The model can now provide all the information you need about Hypertensor, its mission, and how decentralized AI works!
Explore the future of AI, powered by true decentralization!
Testnet Tensor is now available! 🥳
We're thrilled to announce the launch of Testnet Tensor!
This is a crucial step toward our journey of building the largest decentralized ecosystem for decentralized AI models and AI agents!
How to get started:
You can run a subnet validator node for the first subnet: docs.hypertensor.org/run-a-s…
DSN-1 is the first decentralized AI subnet in the Hypertensor Testnet Tensor network. This subnet is running an open-sourced and uncensored version of LLAMA 3 by @orenguteng_ai.
You can see the nodes validating and hosting the model at dash.hypertensor.org.
You can delegate stake to the subnets of your choosing:
Delegate staking is an important feature of the Hypertensor network. It allows users to vote for the activation and continuation of a subnet and to receive rewards!
You can stake by following these directions: docs.hypertensor.org/delegat…
Chat with the fully decentralized AI model by DSN-1, which is being validated by validator nodes all around the world!
You can chat with it at chat.hypertensor.org!
What are we testing?
1. Everything from the previous testnet
2. Registration and activation of subnets
3. Registration and activation of subnet validator nodes
4. Subnet POS (proof of stake) consensus mechanism
5. Consensus Mechanism
6. Validating
7. Attesting
8. Decentralized inference
9. Delegate staking model
And much more!
As this is a testnet, expect bugs and report any you see to us!

Proof of Stake Decentralized AI Models
The Hypertensor subnet template now integrates a Proof of Stake (PoS) mechanism built directly into the AI models, leveraging the secure and efficient Ed25519 key type while maintaining adaptability for other cryptographic standards.
Why Proof of Stake Within Subnets?
Proof of Stake (PoS) is a foundational mechanism for many blockchains because it ensures validators are economically tied to their actions.
By requiring subnet participants to stake cryptocurrency to enter subnets, PoS:
• Encourages Honest Behavior: Validators have a financial stake in the system, and dishonest actions could result in their stake being lost.
• Reduces Risks of Misbehavior: The potential for financial penalties aligns validators' incentives with the health and security of the network, minimizing malicious activity.
Subnets as Decentralized AI Networks
Hypertensor subnets function like blockchains—they're peer-to-peer (P2P) networks that support decentralized AI models powered by validator nodes. By mandating an on-chain stake for each subnet node, Hypertensor aligns incentives, ensuring every participant is financially committed to the network’s security and reliability.
What This Means
Without an on-chain stake, users cannot participate in subnets. This foundational requirement fosters a trustless and robust environment, crucial for powering decentralized AI at scale.
This update marks another step in building secure and scalable decentralized & incentivized AI infrastructure, and a big step for distributed-style machine learning networks! 🚀
