Our focus is on strengthening M-PESA core offerings, while building the next generation of financial services growth. We continue to deliver greater value, with approximately 81% of merchant transactions now free.
Across our 4.5 million merchants, we are bringing payments, savings and credit closer together to the customer. We are also expanding access to credit, where we now serve approximately 17.5 million active credit customers.
Our ambition is to build on the strength and trust of M-PESA, to expand financial services, giving customers more options and value.

Our investment in FinTech 2.0 is translating into services that fit more naturally into our customers’ lives. Solutions such as Shiriki Pay are enabling groups to manage money together. QR codes, Tap-to-Pay and integrated point-of-sale solutions are making everyday payments simpler, more secure and more convenient.
Across these innovations, trust and privacy remain fundamental.
Together, these solutions are moving M-PESA beyond transactions into a broader, trusted financial services ecosystem.
